You sell to your clients, we build the solutions for them, and you profit.

The Process

We have been running the reseller program since 2005, so we’ve had plenty of time to refine the process of developing your client’s solutions - so it’s simple for you to manage and stress-free for them too.

As you can see in the diagram (right), we have set timeframes for the stages of the process we are responsible for, and our Project

Management System (see page 11) ensures we always deliver on time.

We will give you specific completion dates for our parts of the project when we recieve the client’s brief. Please note - if the project is complex or involves custom work, it will take longer then the standard timeframe.

The overall timeline is dependant on how quickly you complete your parts of the project and the timeliness of the client’s responses.

You are responsible for collecting payments from the client for their solution, and then paying us the wholesale price.

We start the project once we recieve a 50%

deposit of the wholesale amount from you and the system doesn’t allow the website to be set live until the final amount has been paid to us.

We have developed our own in-house Project Management System that connects you to the HQ project management team so you can manage your client’s work in one control centre.

Everything to do with the development of your client’s projects is controlled through this sytem, including all communication, tasks for you and our team members, and the progress of the job.

Plus, it’s all linked to your Console so you easily can relate every project back to its quotes, orders and invoices (see Page 13).

‘Conversations’ section where every email between you and the HQ project management team is stored.

You can create a conversation in your system if you have a question about a client or to submit feedback and it is instantly sent to us

Conversations can be linked to the client and even to a particular order or task in the system, so you can easily track your emails and search for them at a later date.

Tracking all email communication ensures complete accuracy for all your projects and full accountability for both us and you.

The other great part of this system is the workflow management - every step in the process has a related task that is either assigned to you or to one of our team members at HQ.

Once you have paid us to start the job, you get a task to submit the details to us. When you complete that task, another task is automatically created for us - and it goes on from there, right through to a task for you to set the website live.

This helps us both keep track of jobs and ensures that nothing is missed. Plus it makes it really clear what is your responsibility and what is ours so there are no mix-ups.

As you can see below, our server technology is far more advanced than other companies, so you can have peace of mind knowing you’re partnering with the best of the best.

Your client’s online solutions (and yours too) will be hosted on our dedicated servers in the neutral facilities of the Southern Hemisphere’s largest carrier, Global Switch.

This facility has the best building security, fire prevention and backup systems available.

Plus, our quality hardware and software (see below) ensures that no single point of failure can crash our system.

It is for this reason that we don’t offer FTP access to you or your clients. Everything you would need FTP access for can be done through the Toolbox.

We constantly upgrade and improve our software to ensure we are abreast of the latest technology and strategies.

Because the software that powers our tools is hosted within the same live environment as your client’s online solutions, they get all these upgrades for free as they happen - so their website technology is constantly up to date.

We have a range of monthly hosting plans available for your client’s to choose from, depending on how much bandwidth they require.

The Console includes a range of tools to manage your leads and clients to improve your organisation and conversions.

The searchable customer database links with the other tools in The Console to store all the information you need on each client in one place, such as:

Our team will determine a price and timeframe for the changes and it will appear as a custom product in your quoting system so you can send a quote to the client and place an order for them to pay for the changes.

So while we don’t do unique custom software development, we are flexible about making changes to our existing tools to ensure you meet the needs of your clients.

Statistics are a valuable tool for a business owner to monitor their performance and identify areas for improvement.

Your control centre has a dedicated statistics area where you can view graphs of your performance over time.

The Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) tracked are, total orders, website order value, total income, hosting income, new client vs existing client orders, product popularity, outstanding invoices to Head Office and overdue invoices for clients.

You can also set budgets for what you would like to achieve for your KPIs over a certain period of time, then compare that to your actual results.

We have a comprehensive online knowledgebase of information for resellers and clients that is regularly updated by HQ. The technical support knowledgebase is rebranded as yours and is automattically added to your website for your clients to use when they need technical support. Website Evaluations

Because you’re in the market using and selling our products, you will have some great feedback and ideas on how we can improve them. The place to share and discuss this is the Ideas Box in The Console - a forum where sellers can submit their ideas or questions and other sellers can vote and comment on them. We get many of our software upgrades from the Ideas Box, so it’s an excellent platform for you to participate in the innovation process.

In order for them to get the trial they will be required to give you their contact details. We run this session approximately 4 times per year - ask our Reseller Manager for the dates of our next course. Training is compulsory before you start selling.

Your clients will contact you directly when they need help, and sometimes you will need our assistance to answer their questions.

To make this process simple and accountable for both you and us, we’ve developed a support ticketing system that tracks and logs every email sent to our technical support team.

So when you need help, you simply email us and your enquiry joins the queue for our technicians to action.

All future communication on that particular issue is linked and archived together for easy future reference and we analyse our response times

to ensure we provide the most efficient support.

We regularly update our knowledge base and are constantly working on ways to make it easy for you to get back to your clients to answer their questions quickly.

We also rebrand this ticketing system as yours so you can use it to communicate with your own clients as well.

Q: What is the role of a reseller?

As a Bloomtools Reseller you generate your own clients and sell our products to them (as well as your own if you have them).

You liaise with the client to assess their needs, then work with HQ to develop their online solution. You are responsible for populating the content on their website, training them and providing ongoing support.

Q: Will my clients know about Bloomtools?

No your clients will not know about your relationship with Bloomtools. Everything is rebranded as yours including the Content Management System, your quotes and emails, and even the footer that appears on your client’s website so they will never see anything with Bloomtools branding on it.

Q: What do I need to become a reseller?

Firstly, you need to have a current client base and ideally, an existing business that you can add online solutions to.

Secondly, you need to be willing to put in the effort to build your business as we have minimum sales targets that our resellers need to meet in order to remain in the program.

Also, it’s important that you share the same passion for the internet and business values that we do.

Q: What products and services can I offer my clients?

As a Bloomtools reseller, you can sell your clients any of our products including website design, database marketing, the CRM, search engine optimisation and a wide range of website add-on tools.

Q: Do I need one of your websites?

Yes, it is a requirment of the reseller program that the reseller has a Bloomtools website.

This makes you more credible because you are using what you are selling and also helps to improve your knowledge of the tools.

Plus, many of the dynamically driven parts of your business administration systems link in with your website, including quoting and the knowledgebase.

Q: Do I have a territory?

No resellers are not bound by a geographical territory so you can sell anywhere in Australia.

Q: What sort of wholesale pricing do I get?

Once you sign a confidentiality agreement, we will give you detailed information on wholesale pricing. Typically it is about 30-40% of the RRP of each product so you can make a healthy profit.

Q: How does billing work?

There are a couple of options for resellers when it comes to billing your clients. We can create your invoices for you automatically for new orders and monthly service fees, or you can do it yourself.

Either way the payment goes straight into your account.

Q: Can I control my own RRP pricing?

You have complete control over your retail pricing so you can set is as high or as low as you like.

Q: What training do resellers receive?

This training is included in your reseller fee - flights, accomodation and meals are not included.

Q: Who provides support to the client?

The reseller is responsible for providing ongoing technical support to the client, so it is important that you have a wide knowledge of the internet and technology.

Any challenges that you cannot resolve on your own will be passed on to the elite team at HQ and we will give you an answer to pass onto your client.

No one from Bloomtools ever liaises with your clients so you are fully responsible for their ongoing support.

Q: What promotional and marketing materials do you provide?

Our expert marketing team can provide you with ebooks, articles and other generic marketing pieces that you can rebrand as your own. Apart from that, you are responsible for all your own marketing activities.

You can also pay for us to perform marketing seminars on behalf of your company. You get all your clients into a room, and we can perform one of our successful seminars to drive your sales higher.

Q: Are there any performance requirements for resellers

Bloomtools places a huge effort into training and educating our resellers. There is a cost associated with this and in order for us to validate having a reseller on board, they do need to meet a minimum sales targets of 6 websites every 6 months.

Q: How many people can attend training?

You can have up to two of your team attend the initial 4 days of training.

Q: Do my clients have to host with you?

Yes, because our software is proprietary and therefore needs to be hosted in our own environment.

This is good for your client because it is a sophisticated, fully redundant hosting environment to ensure security and reliability.

This also means that you are able to provide your clients with a living solution where they dont have to buy a new website every time technology changes.

Q: Do you build custom software?

Bloomtools is not a custom software developer. The reason for this is that from years of experience that the cost of creating custom software is too high, and the profits too low when seling to SMEs.

In saying that, our tools are built in such a way that if your clients have specific needs, we may be able to tweak our existing product to suit them by giving them their own custom fields and look and feel.

If they need functionality that we do not currently provide, they can add it to our wishlist, or pay to have it moved to the front of the line. We only make changes to our software that will benefit others that use the tools.

Alterntively, we also have an API available that external programmers can connect with to build custom software to work in our environment, or to interact with the data we collect in the other tools.

Q: I use a Mac, is this a problem.

No all our software runs through your browser, and we support Firefox on Macs.

Q: Who developed all your tools?

All our tools are developed from scratch by our team of elite software engineers. This means we have full control of all our software, and the service levels that we can then pass onto you - which would be much harder if there were other third parties involved.
