We are excited to offer Trimble® certified training classes in multiple locations this spring. All classes are at least 70% hands-on and highly recommended for new users or those looking to refresh their skills prior to the field season.
We will host 2-day Trimble TerraSync and Pathfinder Office and 3-day ArcPad with Trimble Positions training classes. These comprehensive classes will cover all aspects of a data collection project as well as covering GNSS fundamentals, high accuracy data collection and best practices for field or office im-proving the quality and efficiency of your data collection and update.

, we will be offering a 1-day Intro to ArcGIS Online and Esri Collector class and a 2-day ArcGIS for Windows Mobile with Trimble Positions extension class.Please look at the following class descriptions and available dates and send in the registration for the class of your choice. Early registration is appreciated, and note that you will not be charged until the start of class unless otherwise requested.

Jim Lahm has been in the GPS industry for 22 years. In 1994 he became a Trimble Pathfinder Certified Trainer. In early 1995, he started GPS education Resource, a company dedicated to GPS training and “teaching the finer points of GPS.” In August 2001, Jim joined Electronic Data Solutions. He became a Trimble Certified Trainer for TerraSync and ArcPad in 2005 and now sells Trimble GPS Mapping Systems, while providing certified training around the country.
Alison Walker graduated from Montana State University-Bozeman with a degree in Geography in 2006 and has worked with Electronic Data Solutions since that time doing sales and technical support on Esri, Trimble, Juniper, LaserTech and Ricoh hardware and software. She has been a Trimble Certified Trainer since 2010 and has developed two new ArcPad training classes as well as implemented alternate training online. She currently works as the GPS/GIS Technical Services Manager overseeing technical support, repair service and training.
All aspects of a data collection project with GPS Pathfinder Office software and TerraSync Professional Field Software will be covered, including planning a project, creating a data dictionary, working with background files, collecting data in the field, GPS navigation, differential correction, and export to GIS or Google Earth.

This one-day intro to ArcGIS Online will include multiple hands-on exercises designed to illustrate the variety of functionality available to publish and share spatial information through web maps and applications. A field exercise using the Esri Collector app will also be included.

Class Size: Maximum 12 (16 for Lander, WY class) Prerequisite: Familiarity with Computers & Microsoft Windows
Introductory ArcGIS experience will be helpful for ArcPad classes, but is not required.
Please bring clothing appropriate for outside field work. There will be outside work for the GPS classes. Each student must have his own GPS receiver; there will be no more than 2 students per PC for office exercises.
You are invited to bring your own Trimble mapping system to ensure the highest quality training experience. Please be sure to designate on the class registration form whether you are planning to bring your own equipment or whether you need to rent a system.

While refreshments will be provided, lunch is not included. There is often a choice of restaurants within a short walking or driving distance. Adequate time will be allowed to enjoy lunch on your own.
A full refund will be available if cancellation is made more than one week (7 days) prior to the start of each class. If cancellation occurs less than one week prior to the deadline to register, fifty (50) percent
of the course fee will be refunded.
If registration for the minimum class size is not met, the class will be cancelled or rescheduled at the sole discretion of Electronic Data Solutions. You will be notified if a class has to be cancelled within 10 days of the start of the class so you can make other arrangements if needed.
If the scheduled instructor is not available due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to schedule another presenter of equal ability and expertise.
We also reserve the right to reschedule the training class to another date if weather or other unforeseen circumstances deem it necessary.
