APPLES ON TRAYS

The sleeved apple tray typically replaces the traditional plastic film material. Configurations consist of the PGS-1100 or PGS-2100. Sleever with back labelling unit placing a label on the bottom of the tray thus fixing the sleeve to the tray.

Capacity: 35-40/min. (4-6 apples) on PGS-1100 or 70-80 min. on PGS-2100

MEAL SALAD TRAY WITH TOPSEAL

Trays for meal salads can be fed into the PGS-2100 double lane sleever with infeed and outfeed module. Trays can be delivered long side leading, the SIM-2100 infeed module turns the trays to short side leading.

Capacity: 50/min. on PGS-1100 or 100/min. on PGS-2100

MEAL SALAD TRAY WITH LID

A sleever configuration can be equipped with a lid placer. The topsealed trays are fed into the LPM- 1100 lidplacing module which places a lid on each tray, the trays are then fed into the PGS-1100 single lane sleever with outfeed module.

Capacity: 40/min. on PGS-1100 or 80/min. on PGS-2100

ROUND, TOPSEALED TRAY FOR TAPAS

The filled trays are fed into a PGS-1100 single lane sleever with infeed and outfeed module Capacity: 50/min. on PGS-1100 or 100/min. on PGS-2100

FLOWPACKED FRESH PRODUCE

The infeed dividing module divides cardboard boxes with fresh produce over two lanes of a PGS- 2100, double lane sleever. While doing so it checks the height of the trays. If a tray is too high to be sleeved it will be rejected onto the BMP-1100 bypass module.

The JASA sleever is suitable for many types and sizes of trays and cups. A certain degree of rigidity and a uniform shape are required.

Square, rectangular, oval and round trays can be processed with the sleever. The sleeves are closeable on 2 or on 3 sides as long as they are pre-folded and pre-glued. The position of the sleeve on the tray is freely adjustable in the machine program. A sleeve over the entire length of the tray is possible too.

The JASA sleever has been developed by going back to basics: how to combine easy operation and short changeover times? How to get as many production hours as possible from the sleever at the end of the day? After evaluating several concepts it became clear that changing from one sleeve to another had to be just “changing the sleeve”, nothing else. This has been achieved by making the sleever cassette the heart of the machine. Every sleeve has its own – custom made - cassette. While changing the cassette, the width of the tray guiding system is automatically adjusted through the auto tracking system. Within 5 minutes the entire machine is changed from one set of trays and sleeves to another.

The machine is easy to integrate into an existing production line due to its very compact design. Depending on the set-up, various modular de-nesters, filling stations, lid placers and in- and outfeed-units are available. Other machines can easily be linked to the sleever and offer, amongst others, the possibility to distribute trays from a packaging machine with a single lane outfeed into a double lane sleever. Trays can be turned into the right position or packages can be brought back to a single lane outfeed after a double lane sleever.

Flex-Cassette

The Flex-Cassette is the ultimate solution for “Sleeving” a wide range of products, like apples, tomatoes, and kiwis. Despite the variety in shapes and sizes of these products, there is no need to use more than one or change the cassette. How many apples do you want to pack per tray, four, six, or eight? Whatever the amount, it is all possible with just one flex-cassette. With a changeover time of mere minutes, the Flex-Cassette makes packing with paper flexible.

Fixed Cassette

The best choice when trays of mostly different sizes or a limited product range need packaging. The fixed cassette also allows for lightning-fast changeover times. The machine can be set to accommodate a new plate, tray, or cup within five minutes. Easy on the operator, great for the packing speed.

The JASA sleever personalizes a tray by applying a pre-folded, pre-glued sleeve around it. This can be a tray and/or a cup with a lid, a topseal or a flowpack or in some applications just the fresh fruit or vegetables. As long as the packaging is rigid enough, the trays can be made of many materials; plastic, aluminium, cardboard, foam, etc. The sleeve can be closed on two or three sides and positioned over the entire length of the tray.
