WEALTH MANAGEMENT SHOULD
START WITH A CONVERSATION
ABOUT YOU
YOUR WEALTH MANAGEMENT PROGRAM IS A SERIOUS ENDEAVOR, one that calls for skill, trust, commitment, responsibility, and performance; but mostly, it requires your financial advisor to be able to understand your goals, needs, financial and investment situation, and your reaction to difficult markets. This is why we start each client’s wealth management program with a conversation.
We know you’ve worked hard to build a legacy and accumulate assets, and we know you want the security of knowing that your advisor can offer objectivity with a proven investment program structure. We provide you with the right choices to help guide you toward your financial goals.
WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS AND NEEDS?

YOUR GOALS-BASED PROFESSIONAL TEAM
Few great accomplishments are achieved by only one person. This is why we created a team approach for your wealth management program. Clients like you can benefit from the different perspectives, roles, accountability, and areas of expertise that such a team approach provides. Your team’s overall composition and operation will be unique, based on your specific goals, needs and preferences.
Your team’s composition, activities and interaction are guided by your objectives, goals, communication preferences and investment comfort level. You are like the owner of a baseball team, setting the goals and guidelines, and letting your management and players handle the day-to-day activities.
Your financial advisor assembles and manages your team, based on your goals and objectives. Your advisor is your “go to” person, who oversees your team’s activities. Your advisor is like the general manager of a baseball team, selecting and managing the coach(es) - the portfolio strategist(s).
Your portfolio strategist(s) have day-to-day responsibility for managing your portfolio. They determine the right mix of stocks, bonds and other asset classes, then select investment managers for each type of asset class. Your portfolio strategists are like the coaches on a baseball team.

TYPES OF STRATEGISTS AND THEIR ASSET ALLOCATION
Each portfolio strategist firm used in our program has a team of experts who follow a disciplined process to manage our clients’ assets on a day-to-day basis. These are institutional firms, conducting their own extensive and sophisticated research and analysis.
Strategic Asset Allocation
Provides a broad combination of stocks, bonds and other asset classes, with the goal of capturing market
returns over a long period of time. This allocation style is viewed as passive, typically making few asset allocation changes, because of its long-term view.
Tactical Asset Allocation
Provides a combination of stocks, bonds and other asset classes, but is more actively managed than with Strategic Allocation. This is designed to take advantage of short-term market changes. The styles of tactical asset allocation range from conservative to aggressive.
Focused Asset Allocation
Provides a narrower investment focus. Examples: investing only in bonds; investing only in alternative investments.
All investment strategies involve risk, including possible loss of principal invested. There is no assurance that any investment strategy will be successful. Asset allocation and diversification do not ensure a profit or protect against loss in a declining market. Past performance is not a guarantee of future results.
