Service Definition – Asta Powerproject

1. Overview

Asta Powerproject is a flexible tool which can help you plan, run and review project activity. It can be used to

manage a portfolio of projects, balancing budgets and resource availability across both the current and forward-load tasks. This helps with decision making and communication. Monitoring in-progress work helps to prevent scope creep, budget or time overruns and ultimately should deliver savings to your organisation.

Software as a Service:

Asta Powerproject software is deployed over the internet using 3rd party G-Cloud compliant organisations. With SaaS, Asta will license an application(s) to customers a service on demand, through a subscription, in a “pay-as-you-go” monthly charge.

The software is delivered via the Software as a Service model with Asta Development providing and managing the required IT outside of the corporate firewall.

· Cloud computing infrastructure (supplied as contractor to Asta development by 3rd

party compliant organisation)

· Suite of IT services essential to support day-to-day operation · Software managed from a central location

· Software delivered as a full, end to end managed service

· Users are not required to handle software upgrades and patches

Secure Network Access:

End users access the software service from their desktop pc (either thick or thin client) over the internet via a web browser, using internet standard HTTP.

Cloud Computing Infrastructure: (Supplier of Infrastructure)

The software operates on a multi-tenanted and fully managed cloud computing infrastructure located within one of the UK-based TIA level 2 data centres. A dedicated segment of the cloud is allocated to each customer.

The customer’s resource pool is the total of their procured computing resources. The resource pool is expandable and can be re-sized incrementally, for example to meet a forecast increase in demand. Shared or Private Deployment:

The software can be deployed on two types of cloud computing infrastructure:

· With the basic software service, each organisation’s environment includes an instance of the software running on an infrastructure shared with others

Any contract would be directly with Asta Development who in turn subcontracts to a compliant G-Cloud service provider. We believe working with 3rd party G-Cloud compliant organisations provides Asta Development the support and service required to provide a secure and stable SaaS solution provision.

Full details of service are available from the service definition within the G-Cloud portal of our preferred supplier; in summary this covers:

· Latest generation Dell PowerEdge servers · Server maintenance and patch updates · Dashboard and alert control centre · SafeDNS for domain management · Technical support

· 100% carbon neutral hosting

Business requirements are reviewed upon initial request and presented in a formulated document by Asta Development alongside any additional information supplied by our hosting organisation who are G-Cloud compliant.

In addition to the standard server package, there are number of options our G-Cloud partner can add to enhance a solution, so we can really tailor your package to a company’s particular your needs. We have the total cover package and acceleration packages all of which can be provided upon request.

High-performance Servers:

We offer the latest range of Dell PowerEdge servers which are renowned for quality, performance and data centre efficiency. The most recent introduction is the new Dell PowerEdge server line, which delivers double the performance of previous generations whilst using less power. We recommended the following devices for mission critical solutions:

· Dell PowerEdge R620

Included as Standard - Redundant Firewall

We deploy the Cisco range of firewalls which offer award-winning high performance security and VPN solutions. We insist that all severs are placed behind a firewall to keep our network and client solutions safely protected

The Cisco ASA 5500 Series provides advanced application-aware firewall services with identity based access control, denial of service (DoS) attack protection and much more – all built upon market proven Cisco PIX/ASA Security Appliance technology. Functionality includes the ability to create Virtual Private Networks (VPN) along with supporting a large number of concurrent connections to the platform they are protecting.

Your solutions architect will work with you to determine the most appropriate firewall configuration, enabling access to global ports such as HTTP, HTTPS, and full, granular control over your access-control-lists (ACL’s).

McAfee Anti-Virus and Anti DDoS functionality is also available if required. The typical deployment would have a web, application and database zone which can be further extended to create a DMZ.

· Dashboard and alert control centre

Using an online portal, you can manage and set up email and SMS alerts to notify you about scheduled maintenance updates or network disruptions, providing increased control and peace of mind.

5. Support Level

Asta will move this project into its Enterprise Support Programme which will ensure dedicated support from a senior member of the support team. You will receive a dedicated email address for raising issues.

A scoping report and subsequent Implementation reports recommends and details the core functionality and processes of Asta Powerproject that your company will be using. If at any time you want to use any other Asta Powerproject functionality/features that are not included in this produced report, it is a requirement that you contact Asta prior to doing so. This will enable a Consultant to discuss with you how the feature(s) will be used within your organisation, arrange the necessary testing and amend the scoping report to reflect the agreed changes.

Support of the hosting aspect of the service is provided by the 3rd party G-Cloud selected partner; the support plan would include the following service levels:

Network guarantee:

Network infrastructure will be available 100% of the time. Network availability means all infrastructure including routers, switches and cabling is working (when not undergoing scheduled maintenance). In the event of unplanned network failure we will refund 24 hours service for every 60 minutes loss of connection up to a maximum value equal to your monthly subscription charge.

Hardware guarantee:

In the remote event of a server hardware failure that cannot be fixed, we guarantee the hardware will be replaced within one hour of the problem’s diagnosis. Hardware is defined as processors, RAM, hard disks, motherboard, NIC card and other related hardware included with the server. This guarantee excludes the time needed to rebuild a RAID array and the reload of certain operating systems, processors and applications.

Support guarantee:

Technical engineers are available 24/7 (hosting partner only). Should you have any problems with your server, a qualified Microsoft or Linux engineer will be working on the problem within 2 hours of being notified.
