between Illinois Institute of Technology (“IIT”), an Illinois not-for-profit corporation with its principal place of business at 10 West 35th Street, 19th floor, Chicago, Illinois 60616 USA, and the Facultad de Psicologia at the Universidad de Seville ( US), with its legal address in Seville, Spain, represented by Mr. MIGUEL ÁNGEL CASTRO ARROYO, Rector of Universidad de Sevilla, Spain, henceforth USE, appointed by virtue of Junta de Andalucía Decree 198/2020 of December 1st, 4/2016 of January 12th, being the University’s legal representative, according to Art. 20 of the Organic Law of Universities 6/2001 of 21st December, and Art. 20 of the Statute of Universidad de Sevilla, approved by Decree 324/2003 of 25th November, modified by Decree 55/2017 of 11th April, and with registered office in Calle San Fernando, 4, 41004-Sevilla, Spain.
Both parties, desiring to promote and develop cooperation in education, intend by this Agreement to establish a program of educational cooperation and student and faculty interchange.
Este Acuerdo se celebra el día ____ del 2021 entre el Illinois Institute of Technology ("IIT"), corporación sin fines de lucro de Illinois, con sede principal en10 West 35th Street, 19th floor, Chicago, Illinois 60616 EE. UU., y la Facultad de Psicología de la Universidad de Sevilla (US), con domicilio legal en Sevilla, España, representada por el Sr. D. MIGUEL ÁNGEL CASTRO ARROYO, Rector Magnífico de la Universidad de Sevilla, España, nombrado en virtud de Decreto 198/2020 de 1 de diciembre de la Junta de Andalucía, y cuya representación legal ostenta, según dispone el art. 20 de la Ley Orgánica 6/2001, de 21 de diciembre, de Universidades, así como el art. 20 del Estatuto de la Universidad de Sevilla, aprobado por Decreto 324/2003, de 25 de noviembre, modificado por Decreto 55/2017, de 11 de abril, con domicilio social en Calle San Fernando, 4, 41004-Sevilla, España, Ambas partes, deseando promover y desarrollar la cooperación en educación, se proponen mediante este Acuerdo establecer un programa de cooperación educativa e intercambio de estudiantes y profesores. The parties agree to the following:
I. PROGRAM
ONE YEAR MASTER'S DOUBLE DEGREE Students who have completed 4 years of their Bachelor’s degree either at US or elsewhere, and 1 year of their Master’s degree in Work and Organizational Psychology (WOP) at US may apply to the Illinois Institute of Technology, Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology degree program.
See Annex A for US curriculum and course compatibility with IIT
II. IIT ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
A. ONE YEAR MASTER OF SCIENCE IN INDUSTRIAL/ORGANIZATIONAL
PSYCHOLOGY
Students must be selected and nominated by U. Seville. The current minimum requirements include proof of a 4-year Bachelor’s degree obtained either from US or elsewhere, plus 1 year of the Master’s WOP degree program at US , a minimum TOEFL score of 100 iBT or IELTS 6.5, Duolingo score of 110, a GRE general score of 298 ( V & Q) and 3.0 analytical, three letters of recommendation from US

II. REQUISITOS DE ADMISIÓN DEL IIT
A. MASTER OF SCIENCE IN
INDUSTRIAL/ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY EN UN AÑO
faculty, professional statement, the completed online IIT Graduate International application (https://www.iit.edu/admissions-aid/apply - Choose Graduate International) and transcripts certified in Spanish and English of 1 year of Master’s study at US . Students must enroll in at least 12 credit hours per semester if they plan to complete their degree in one year. For the US Master thesis (Trabajo fin de Master-TFM) requirements, U. Seville students who prefer to do part of this at Illinois Tech rather than completing it during the first year of studies at US , may start on the research project at US and continue at Illinois Tech under the supervision of a faculty member assigned by the I/O Psychology department at Illinois Tech
B. TIMETABLE AND NOTIFICATION OF ADMISSION
Graduate level students should apply to IIT for commencement of studies in the fall semester which begins in August. The US program liaison will transmit the names and email addresses of the pre-selected candidates to the IIT Director of Overseas Programs. Pre-selected students may submit the online application and upload their documents so they will be received by the admission deadlines, April 15, for the Master's degree programs.
Notification of acceptance will be mailed to students. All other documents needed to secure visas, housing, meals, and arrival information will be sent as well.
G. TRANSFER OF CREDIT
Courses successfully completed at US will be reviewed at IIT for transfer credit in accordance with IIT and US academic guidelines. Qualified degree-seeking Master's students from US may be allowed to transfer to IIT up to nine credit hours of eligible course work as defined by their IIT academic departments’ Graduate Studies Committee, subject to approval by the students’ academic advisers and the Graduate College. Review of the transfer of credit will completed in advance of students’ applying to Illinois Tech.

Upon completion of the requirements for the Master's degree at IIT, students will receive a letter of completion. Upon submission to IIT either of proof of their attainment of the equivalent master's

B. CALENDARIO Y NOTIFICACIÓN DE ADMISIÓN
Los estudiantes de posgrado deberán solicitar su admisión en IIT para realizar sus estudios en el semestre de otoño que comienza en agosto. La persona de contacto del programa US transmitirá los nombres y direcciones de correo electrónico de los candidatos preseleccionados al Director de Programas Extranjeros del IIT. Los estudiantes preseleccionados pueden enviar la solicitud online y cargar sus documentos para que sean recibidos antes de la fecha límite de admisión para los programas de Master, el 15 de abril.
La notificación de aceptación se enviará por correo a los estudiantes. También se enviarán todos los demás documentos necesarios para obtener visado, conseguir alojamiento, alimentación e información de llegada.
G. TRANSFERENCIA DE CRÉDITO
Los cursos completados con éxito en la US serán revisados en el IIT para la transferencia de créditos de acuerdo con las pautas académicas del IIT y la US. Los estudiantes cualificados de la US candidatos al título de Master están autorizados a transferir al IIT hasta nueve horas de crédito de estudios optativos según lo definido por el Comité de Estudios de Posgrado de sus departamentos académicos de IIT, sujeto a la aprobación de los asesores académicos de los estudiantes y el Graduate College. La revisión de la transferencia de crédito se completará antes de que los estudiantes presenten su solicitud a Illinois Tech.

III. SCHOLARSHIPS
A. GRADUATE STUDENTS AT IIT
US Master of Work and Organizational Psychology students nominated by US and enrolled full-time in graduate studies at IIT, may be eligible to receive a 9-credit hours tuition scholarship divided into 4.5 credits per semester, for two consecutive academic semesters only. Students wishing to graduate in one year, should register for at least 12 credits per semester and take some courses in the summer. Students nominated for such scholarships must meet all admission requirements for the M.S. I/O Pscyhology graduate program at IIT and must enroll for at least nine credit hours in their program of study per semester at IIT. The scholarship cannot be renewed after the first year.
IV. FACULTY EXCHANGES VISITING FACULTY
Both IIT and US encourage the development of a visiting faculty program related to all areas of Psychology in order to contribute to the teaching and/or research activities of both universities. Faculty members may be invited to do their sabbatical at either institution and teach advanced courses in the undergraduate or graduate programs or do joint research. Based on the length of the visitation & purpose, compensation can be left to the departments/faculties at the respective institutions, depending upon their resources.
V GENERAL
A. NON EXCLUSIVITY
Participation in this Agreement is not exclusive and shall not prevent IIT or US from entering into similar agreements with other institutions.
B. TERM AND TERMINATION
This Agreement shall be in effect from the date first executed and shall continue for a period of three years thereafter. However, either party may terminate this agreement upon 90 days prior written notice to the other. Reasons for termination may include, but not be limited to, the academic performance, graduation rate and financial accountability of US students while at IIT. Students
Los estudiantes que cumplan con todos los requisitos para obtener el Master en IIT recibirán una carta de finalización. Tras la presentación al IIT, ya sea de la prueba de su obtención del título de Master equivalente en la US o de la prueba certificada en inglés de un grado de 4 años en la US, los estudiantes recibirán su certificado de Master IIT.
III. BECAS
A. ESTUDIANTES GRADUADOS EN IIT
Los estudiantes del Master en Psicología del Trabajo y de las Organizaciones de la US seleccionados por la US y matriculados a tiempo completo en estudios de posgrado en el IIT, pueden ser elegibles para recibir una beca de matrícula de 9 horas crédito dividida en 4.5 créditos por semestre, solo por dos semestres académicos consecutivos. Los estudiantes que deseen graduarse en un año, deberán registrarse en al menos 12 créditos por semestre y tomar algunos cursos en el verano. Los estudiantes nominados para tales becas deben cumplir con todos los requisitos de admisión para el programa de posgrado Master of Science in Industrial/Organizational Psychology en IIT y deberán inscribirse durante al menos nueve horas de crédito por semestre en el programa de estudio en IIT. La beca no se podrá renovar después del primer año.
IV. INTERCAMBIOS DE PROFESORES PROFESORES VISITANTES
Tanto el IIT como la US fomentan el desarrollo de un programa de profesores visitantes relacionados con todas las áreas de la Psicología con el fin de contribuir a la actividad docente y / o investigadora de ambas universidades. Los profesores pueden ser invitados a desarrollar las tareas de su año sabático en cualquiera de las instituciones e impartir cursos avanzados en los programas de grado o posgrado o realizar investigaciones conjuntas. Según la duración de la visita y el propósito, los Departamentos o Facultades de sus respectivas instituciones podrán, en la medida de la disponibilidad de sus recursos, compensar a estos profesores.
V. CONDICIONES GENERALES A. NO EXCLUSIVIDAD
La participación en este Acuerdo no es exclusiva y no impedirá que IIT o US celebren acuerdos similares con otras instituciones.
B. PLAZO Y TERMINACIÓN

C. NOTICE
In order to discuss detailed matters and to transmit information, both universities will appoint a program liaison, who will act as the point of communication. Any notice to either party must be in writing signed by the party giving it and shall be served either personally or by air courier to the following addresses:

The IIT Director of Overseas Programs will serve as the students' liaison for the program in conjunction with the Director of the International Relations department at US .
E. FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
All US students admitted to IIT will be responsible for any fees not covered by scholarships or waivers, including but not limited to tuition fees, room and board, insurance, books, supplies and personal expenses.
In order to assure that students have health insurance valid in the United States, all US students shall be required to participate in IIT's Student Health Plan, for the duration of their enrollment at IIT. US will use its best efforts to verify that visiting faculty have health insurance coverage valid in the United States. All IIT students admitted to US will be responsible for room and board, insurance, books, supplies and personal expenses, as well as health insurance, and

E. RESPONSABILIDAD FINANCIERA

F. ADVERTISING
IIT and US may not use the other's name, seal or other identifying or proprietary information in catalogs, advertising materials or anything else, unless the other has reviewed and approved of the proposed use.
G. BEST EFFORTS
Both institutions will use their best efforts to ensure that students recommended for admission to the other are academically and financially qualified to attend and succeed and that they are eligible for a student visa.
H. RULES AND REGULATIONS
Visiting students are subject to the rules and regulations of the host institution during the period of visit.
I COMPLIANCE
Both institutions agree to cooperate with one another to ensure that any actions taken in furtherance hereof proceed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including, without limitation, the General Data Protection Law and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
J. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
The parties shall cooperate and coordinate together to resolve in good faith any dispute arising between them out of the operation of this Agreement.
K. FORCE MAJEURE
A party shall be excused from the performance of its obligation under this Agreement, without liability, when circumstances, which are reasonably beyond the ability of the party to control, including, without limitation, acts of nature such as, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, landslides, earthquakes, epidemics, quarantine, and pestilence; acts of war or terrorism; blockades, insurrections, or national or international calamities; governmental interference; inability to obtain labor, energy material or supplies; riot, civil commotion, strike, or lockout; fire and other casualties exist. The party shall be excused from its obligations for as long as the circumstances continue for more than thirty (30) days, then either party may cancel the Agreement by written notice to the other.
L. INTEGRATION
Todos los estudiantes del IIT admitidos en la US serán responsables de su alojamiento y manutención, seguros, libros, medios y gastos personales, así como seguro médico y seguro de responsabilidad civil (cobertura de responsabilidad civil por daños materiales y corporales).
F. PUBLICIDAD
IIT y US no pueden usar el nombre, sello u otra información de identificación o de propiedad del otro en catálogos, materiales publicitarios o cualquier otra cosa, a menos que la contraparte otro haya revisado y aprobado el uso propuesto.
G. COMPROMISO
Ambas instituciones harán todo lo posible para garantizar que los estudiantes seleccionados para su admisión a la otra estén cualificados académicamente y financieramente para asistir con exito al curso y están en disposición de obtener el visado de estudiante.
H. REGLAS Y REGLAMENTOS
Los estudiantes visitantes se someten a las reglas y regulaciones de la institución de destino durante el período de la visita.
I. LEGISLACIÓN
Ambas instituciones acuerdan cooperar entre sí para garantizar que cualquier acción que se tome para promover el presente acuerdo proceda conforme a las leyes y regulaciones aplicables, incluidas, entre otras, la Ley General de Protección de Datos y la Ley de Privacidad y Derechos Educativos de la Familia, de la legislación norteamericana.
J. RESOLUCIÓN DE CONTROVERSIAS
Las partes cooperarán y coordinarán juntas para resolver de buena fe cualquier disputa que surja entre ellas a raíz del funcionamiento de este Acuerdo. K. FUERZA MAYOR
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding of the parties, and any change or modification shall be in writing and signed by both parties.
This Agreement has been executed by each of the parties and is valid for five year, as of the date first written above.
L. ACUERDO ÍNTEGRO
Este Acuerdo constituye el acuerdo completo entre las partes, y cualquier cambio o modificación se hará por escrito y estará firmado por ambas partes. Este Acuerdo ha sido ejecutado por cada una de las partes y tiene una validez de cinco años, a partir de la fecha arriba mencionada.
