The College
Established in 1974, David Game College is an independent college situated in the heart of the fashionable Notting Hill district of London. It offers a variety of courses including the University Foundation Programme (UFP) and is a short distance from some of London’s most famous attractions including Hyde Park and Kensington Palace.
The college aims to promote the joy of knowledge and learning while simultaneously maintaining the sharpest possible academic focus. The quality of teaching at David Game College was rated as «Outstanding» in the 2013 Ofsted inspection and the college has developed strong links with the prestigious Russell Group universities and other leading higher education providers.
UFP Bath
Bath Academy
Situated in the South-West of England and only one and a half hours from London, Bath is renowned as one of the UK’s most beautiful cities and currently stands as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The College
Bath Academy is a small successful private college located in a grade one listed Georgian building in one of the most enviable squares in the city. The college welcomes students from all over the world and offers a variety of courses, including the University Foundation Programme (UFP). With small class sizes and a close student community, at Bath Academy you will receive the encouragement and individual support you need to achieve your goals and progress to a top ranking university.
The college was established in 1997 and is a member of the Council for Independent Further Education (CIFE) and accredited by the British Accreditation Council and the British Council.

Term 1
During the 1st term, you will study the Core Minor Modules to provide you with the fundamental skills needed for any academic programme at university level.
Mathematics
You will study both Pure Maths and Statistics (If you choose to study the Law, Humanities and Social Science UFP then you will study Intermediate Maths).
Information Technology
You will learn how to use word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
Communication Skills / IELTS preparation.
You will develop your study skills, including effective reading methods and essay-writing techniques. You will also improve your oral communication skills with a focus on presentation, public speaking and group discussion.
Terms 2 & 3
During the 2nd and 3rd term you will choose 3 Major Modules, which are relevant to your intended degree course.

Moving to a new city and a new country is exciting but it can also be a little daunting. Here at UFP we are on hand
You can choose to stay in a college residence with other students or in a local family homestay.
College Residences
All residences in both London and Bath are extremely well equipped. Bedrooms are well furnished, centrally heated and well maintained. The houses have a communal kitchen, dining and living area with en-suite options also available.
All residences have Wi-Fi and some have an on-site Warden for extra peace of mind for younger students and their parents.
London Residences
David Game College is located in the heart of Notting Hill Gate close to many of London’s top attractions.
The College owns a number of apartments and rooms nearby for you to choose from whilst studying at UFP London.
Bath Residences
Bath offers a very high quality of life and is often voted amongst the safest and most desirable cities to live in the UK. The college operates two self-catering residential houses: Bathurst House and Oxford House.
Both are within 10 minutes’ walk of the college and the historic city centre. It’s the perfect base for your studies.
Homestay Accommodation
London & Bath
In both London and Bath the college can arrange accommodation with suitable and responsible homestay providers. All providers have been carefully chosen and vetted, and they are easily reached from the colleges either on foot or by public transport.

Extended UFP
4-Term Foundation
The Extended UFP gives you the opportunity to improve your knowledge of one or more subjects before joining the UFP course of your choice. It is an ideal way to ensure you get the best grades possible and progress to one of the highest-ranking universities.
You can start the Extended UFP in July or September before joining the mainstream UFP in September or January.
During this additional term you can study English Language, Maths, Art & Design, or a combination of these subjects.
This extra term will allow you to join the mainstream introduction to studying in the UK.

Engineering and
Computing UFP
The Engineering and Computing UFP is one of our most popular courses and the modules on offer will equip you with the required skills for top undergraduate degree courses. You will develop advanced mathematical skills, a broad knowledge of advanced physics, as well as practical skills and a diagnostic approach towards problem solving.
Most engineering degree courses now involve a significant amount of computer programming, therefore UFP students always benefit from the IT skills gained on the course.
UFP students have progressed to a wide variety of Engineering and Computing degree courses at many universities, including Southampton, Bath, Queen Mary and King’s College London.

Architecture,
Art and Design UFP
The Architecture, Art and Design UFP is a one-year intensive studio-based course, aimed at preparing students for degree level studies in a wide range of subjects.
Taught by practising artists and designers, the course provides you with a broad practical and theoretical introduction to Art and Design. Small class sizes ensure that you receive the high level of individual attention necessary to maximize your potential. The course makes full use of both London and Bath’s rich cultural resources, employing study visits to museums, galleries and architectural sites to develop your understanding of the subject.
The programme is designed to enable you to produce a successful undergraduate application. During the year you will regularly be required to present and discuss your work. This practice will help you to develop your communication skills, and ensures that you are able to

Entry Requirements
As our students come from all over the world, the entry requirements for the University Foundation Programme (UFP) are diverse. In general, we expect you to have completed secondary education and achieved a level of English Language equivalent to IELTS 5.5 / PTE 51.
