Illinois Valley Contractor Safety Program

Welcome to the Illinois Valley Contractor Safety Program. Simply stated, this program is an off-site, one-stop shop where contractors receive two components of safety training: a Basic 4-Hour Safety Orientation (good for all facilities) as well as Site Specific Orientations for each participating facility. Currently, the following local companies participate in the program; Air Products, American Nickeloid, Carus Corporation, Flint Hills Resources, Cristal USA, SABIC Innovative Plastics (4-hour orientation only) and PQ Corporation.

The program requires all contractors, prior to site entry at participating sites, to complete this program provided through Illinois Valley Community College. An online option is also available for site specific training.

The program offers the following benefits to you, our preferred contractors:

 Provides uniform OSHA 4-hour general industry training by a qualified and experienced instructor.

 Provides Company Site Specific Training that is completed in advance, prior to the contractor arriving at the work-site.

 Training is documented and recorded in a training database accessible by contractor companies and participating facilities 24/7.

 Assists you in fulfilling annual training requirements.
