E'͛Ɛ/ŶƚĞƌŶƐhip Program was created with the future workforce in mind. NCG has a vested interest in ensuring that local resources have the skills needed to meet future employment needs. Our Internship Program offers professional experience and opportunities that are tailored to meet ŝŶƚĞƌŶƐ͛ educational and professional goals and interests.
The NCG Internship Program is designed to provide unique exposure and opportunities in the Management Consulting and IT fields, serving both private and federal clients.

We deliver a multi-‐faceted approach to complex problems using a variety of resources. Our ƐƚĂĨĨƚĂŬĞƐĂ͞ƌŽůůƵƉLJŽƵƌƐůĞĞǀĞƐ͟ĂƉƉƌŽĂĐŚƚŽĞǀĞƌLJĞŶŐĂŐĞŵĞŶƚƚĂŬŝŶŐŝŶǁŚĂƚŶĞĞĚƐƚŽďĞ done, and then getting down to work.
We take a ͞ƐLJƐƚĞŵƐ͟ ĂƉƉƌŽĂĐŚ ƚŽ ĞǀĞƌLJ project: connecting people, technology, data and security. This requires a background in business management and technical understanding in order to effectively communicate with management and technical resources. Following some examples of positions we employ: Project Managers, Business Analysts, Applications Programmers, Systems Analysts, System Engineers, Data Security Analysts, Data Architects, Database Managers, and Business Process Consultants.

What We Do
NCG has had opportunities to work with a number of clients in different industries. Our background in enterprise level projects and insight into regulatory requirements gives us the foundation to tackle complex challenges.
Here are some of our projects examples:
x We have supported TD Bank, one of the 10 largest banks in the United States, through a number of acquisitions and over 20 separate initiatives since 2006: data conversion and platform migration, enhancing core banking and distributed retail systems, overseeing operations efficiency, and revenue generating initiatives.
x NCG is working with the Boston Region on the DHS Regional Catastrophic Planning Cyber Attack Coordination Plan. NCG, as a member of the URS Team, developed an approach for conducting Risk Assessment based on NIST standards that can be applied to a variety of critical assets across the region. The Risk Assessment process was
designed to support resiliency planning for the continuity of key government services in the event of a cyber event.
x NCG has supported the State of Maine on a number of projects and is listed on the
^ƚĂƚĞ͛Ɛ/ŶĨŽƌŵĂƚŝŽŶdĞĐŚŶŽůŽŐLJƉƌĞ-‐approved vendor list. Past projects have included working with the Department of Health and Human Services to define and implement emergency fixes to its CMS system addressing provider payment issues, and working with the Department of Professional and Financial Regulation to ensure the integrity of their licensing system with IV&V services.
x NCG helped Volk Packaging, a shipping materials manufacturer, implement a Business Continuity Plan, run a mock contingency of operations drill, and put a friendly-‐
competitor facility agreement in place. NCG put together a comprehensive plan that went beyond computer disaster recovery to include all operational facets ensuring the ability to service customers and maintain revenue.
x NCG has worked with MedAssets, healthcare financial services provider, enabling their clients to resolve revenue generation challenges. We also supported MedAssets on projects across revenue cycles and staffing models.
NCG Internship Program Details
The NCG program provides a mix of developmental on-‐the-‐job assignments, research
assignments, and mentorships that will develop the skills needed for professional success and growth. All positions are located at E'͛Ɛheadquarters in the Portland, Maine office. The features of the Program are:

This Program hires students for valuable work experience directly related to your academic field of study. Based on the performance you may be eligible for permanent employment. Students work flexible work schedules, and are from all educational levels.
The eligibility requirements are:
x Attend an accredited college or university and pursuing a bachelor or master degree program.
x Be able to provide a letter of verification from your educational institution showing proof of that you are currently enrolled at least half time in school.
x Work experience must relate to academic study (i.e. Business Administration, Business Management, Information Technology, Information Management, Risk Management, Computer Science, Computer Systems, Database Technology, Information Systems, Information Systems/Security Management, Technical Project Management, Software Engineering, Software Development, Finance, Banking and etc.)
Because we work in highly sensitive and regulated industries, all NCG interns will be a subject to a background check which gathers information on areas including criminal checks, past
employment, educational history, and credit records.
How the Internship Works
The Intern will work closely with our staff members and will gain basic professional skills in the management and technology consulting field. NCG will provide day-‐to-‐day direction and guidance. During the course of the internship, the Intern will actively be involved in the following areas:

Evaluation procedures are important to the NCG Intern Program. They are used to judge how well the intern understands E'͛Ɛ ƉŽůŝĐŝĞƐĂŶĚƉƌŽŐƌĂŵƐ͖ƚŽŐĂŝŶĂŶŝŵƉƌĞƐƐŝŽŶŽĨƚŚĞŝŶƚĞƌŶ͛Ɛ ĂďŝůŝƚLJƚŽĞdžƉƌĞƐƐƚŚĞŵƐĞůǀĞƐ͖ƚŽĚĞƚĞƌŵŝŶĞǁŚĞƚŚĞƌƚŚĞŝŶƚĞƌŶ͛ƐƚĂƌŐĞƚ position is appropriate; ƚŽĞǀĂůƵĂƚĞƚŚĞŝŶƚĞƌŶ͛ƐƚƌĂŝŶŝŶŐĂŶĚĚĞƚĞƌŵŝŶĞŝƚƐŽǀĞƌĂůůĞĨĨĞĐƚŝǀĞŶĞƐƐ.
The NCG Intern Program utilizes 30 day review ƉƌŽĐĞƐƐŚŝŐŚůŝŐŚƚŝŶŐŝŶƚĞƌŶ͛ƐƐƚƌĞŶŐƚŚƐĂŶĚ weaknesses and discussing ŝŶƚĞƌŶ͛ƐƉƌŽĨĞƐƐŝŽŶĂůĐĂƌĞĞƌĚŝƌĞĐƚŝŽŶ͘NCG also has an Incentive Awards program through which ŝŶƚĞƌŶ͛Ɛ superior job performance, contribution to NCG, special act, service, and adopted suggestion are rewarded by monetary or honorary awards. In keeping witŚE'͛ƐĞŵƉůŽLJŵĞŶƚ-‐at-‐will policy, NCG internship may be discontinued at any time and for any reason.
Compensation
The pay our interns receive in will depend on the education and work experience the interns already possess. As interns advance in education, they may be eligible for promotions based on their work performance.
Are the Hours of Internship Flexible?
The schedule will be mutually determined by NCG and the Intern. However, all interns are expected to work at least 20 hours per week. Flexilibity will be provided to accommodate course load schedules. It is recommended that all interns work for time blocks of no less than 4 hours at a time if possible.
