風水 Feng Shui Basics
龍
Dragon
在風水學里，龍就是指山脈，山脈的走向起伏，活潑變化多端。而龍又 相傳是三棲動物，可以水中潛游，陸地游走，又可飛昇天上。因此套用 龍的名稱以形容山脈的潛伏游走是可理解的。
In Feng Shui, the term ‘dragon’ refers to a mountain. A dragon is a mythical creature that is triphibian – in that it can live on water, land, and in air. The reason why mountains are called ‘dragons’ is due to its shape, as the mountain is typically said to look like a moving dragon.
砂
Embrace
砂就是穴四周的山，是氣場的衛護。穴庭左邊的山稱為青龍，右邊是白 虎，前方是朱雀，後方是玄武。
The mountains that surround a property or area are typically known as an ‘Embrace.’ The left embrace of the property or area is called the Green Dragon, while the right embrace is known as the White Tiger. The embrace at the front is called the Red Phoenix and the one at the back is known as the Black Tortoise.
水
Water
古書有云：“水為龍血”。山屬陰而水屬陽，水因此能夠孕育山的陰 气。所謂氣界水則止，水有聚气的功能。如果水的佈局做得好，它就能 加強气的聚集能力了。
In one of the ancient classical texts, it is written that “water is the blood of the Dragon.” Mountains are considered to be Yin, while Water is Yang. Water demarcates and collects the Qi in the area. Accordingly, an area with good water placement and formations can foster good convergence and collection of Qi.
穴
Meridian Spot
穴是土中氣脈聚結處。也就是生氣最旺，適合安墳立宅的場所
The Meridian Spot is known to be the best location for a property. This spot is typically surrounded by other mountains (in other words, surrounded by embraces) and lots of water. It is the perfect and most ideal land for residence as it is deemed to have absorbed the essential Qi of heaven and earth.
