bibliotheca was formed in the spring of 2011 when the three leading independent companies of Bibliotheca (Switzerland), Intellident (UK) and Integrated Technology Group, ITG (North America) merged to create a single, global entity. More recently, in October 2015, the Group was extended further when their shareholders (OEP) acquired in full the 3M Library Systems business, with the intention to create a single library-focused business dedicated to the delivery and support of EM/RFID security, Automated Materials Handling, self-service, productivity and digital/cloud (patron-facing) solutions.

Most of our products have plug-and-play components that are easily removed and replaced, and in the case of software, issues are often resolved immediately with remote assistance.
