conclusions suivants.

– ColleMassari gathers a group of top wineries that are family owned by the Tipa – Bertarelli family. Claudio Tipa and his wife, together with his sister Maria Iris Bertarelli run the estates.

– The Bertarelli family, through Ernesto Bertarelli’s Alinghi team was the first sailing syndicate from Switzerland to win the famous America’s Cup twice; in 2003 (New Zealand) and 2007 (Valencia).

– The ColleMassari Domaine was initially founded on the reconstruction in 1998 of the century old

Castle and its surrounding vineyards.

– In 2001 the modern gravity flow production facility and ageing cellars were completed and several

vineyards had been planted or re-planted in the meantime. Today the total surface of vineyards in production is around 125 ha. and 65 ha. of olive groves. The total surface is approx.1200 ha

– In 2002 Grattamacco in Bolgheri became part of wine making operations and was subsequently

acquired in 2007.

– In 2009 the neighbouring Tenuta di Montecucco was acquired with a beautiful hospitality centre.

– In September 2011 the family acquired the Poggio di Sotto Estate from Piero Palmucci.
