Withdrawals: Withdrawals after the closing date due to injury of the dog will be eligible for a 75% refund of entry fees paid

Bitches in season (BIS) are eligible to compete but will be required to be kept separate from all other dogs and run in panties/britches at the end of their class, regardless of height. Entry fees for BIS that come into season will be refunded until date/time of closing of the trial, if you wish to withdraw. Additionally, if the handler chooses to pull after the closing date, the BIS can be treated as an injured dog and receive a 75% refund after a veterinarian note is received. If bringing a BIS, please inform the Trial Secretary prior to the trial and make sure it is announced at the briefing.

Club grounds are defined for the property as it is bounded by Knox Avenue down to the cow barn past the kennels and from Falls Rd to the pasture used for overflow parking (approx. 16 acres in total). This is a working Angus Beef farm and exhibitors should take care to remain within the identified grounds.

(4)

Collars and Leashes - Per BHA rules, electronic collars/devices are not allowed anywhere on the site – this includes electronic bark collars as well as citronella collars. Head halters are also not allowed at BHA trials. Flexi-leads may be used on site out in the field but may not be used within 50 feet of the barn. Covered pinch/prong collars may be used on the property and into the ring if there is a quick release snap/buckle. Dogs MUST run “naked,” without a collar/harness; owners MUST NOT. Dogs should be brought to the ring with collars/harnesses which can be easily and quickly removed and replaced. All dogs must be on leash at all times except when in the ring.

This is a no-frills trial. Due to the extended closure of our club building for COVID-19 concerns and cancellation of several months of events and training classes, this means we need to carefully watch costs as we continue to host events that can be held safely during the pandemic. This means there will be no raffles, HIC prizes, etc. We WILL have placement ribbons as per BHA rules, plus New Title, RATM, RATCH, RATCHX and HIC ribbons.

Note for future trials at this site. Originally this trial had been planned for the climate-controlled building on-site containing two rings on anti-fatigue matting. However, due to COVID-19 concerns, this trial has been scaled back and moved to an outdoor open-sided barn as the best information known for viral transmission at this time indicates risk is greatly lowered in an outdoor situation. The club hopes in the future to return to the full two-ring schedule at this and other sites.

COVID-19 Modifications – We will be following all COVID-19 Temporary Rules established by the BHA effective July 3, 2020. It is strongly advised that all exhibitors read these rule modifications published by the BHA at the following url:

http://www.barnhunt.com/covidrules_07032020.pdf

When to Stay Home –You should NOT attend the trial if you cannot answer YES to the following question on the waiver you will be asked to sign on the day of the trial:

“I/we certify that I/we do not, to my/our knowledge, have COVID-19 at the time of attending this event. Nor have I/we been in contact with or exposed to any known carrier of COVID-19 within the past 14 days. If I/we have had the virus, I/we certify that we have had at least two negative tests 14 or more days prior to the Event or have had a positive antibody test, and have been released by government officials and/or health care providers to resume normal activity without limit. I/we understand that we have entered and are competing at this Barn Hunt event entirely at my/our own risk and take full responsibility for my/our own health and safety during this Event. I/we pledge to follow all Barn Hunt Association and specific Club Event rules and requirements to mitigate any possibility of infecting others or becoming infected. I/we will also cooperate with any health department and/or State/ Local guidelines that have jurisdiction in the area in which the Event is taking place. The Barn Hunt Association LLC, Oriole Dog Training Club Inc, and Branchwater Training Center are in no way liable for any present or future COVID-19 infection incurred at any time by any person, in attendance or not in attendance, before, during or after this Event. “

You can text the trial secretary if you are unable to attend

(Katrina Mauldin – 571-247-1346) and at that point, you will

be refunded your entry fee minus a $10 administration fee. Anyone who attends a public gathering must recognize they will always be at a risk that they could contract COVID-19 despite all the precautions that will be taken to reduce that risk.
