What's next?
Dear Students,
Today we find that Information Technology has become overwhelmingly pervasive, while its parent, computer science, has become correspondingly hard to find. While many CS educational institutions have shifted focus from core CS and become specialty providers for the IT industry, a few continue to lay emphasis on the science underlying diverse aspects of computing.
Our department has produced hundreds of professionals and has established a name for itself in the country and abroad. We believe that learning is a continuous process and does not end with gaining a degree. Therefore, we do not aim to make our students walking manuals of any language or package. Instead, they are given a strong foundation in computer science and problem solving techniques and are made adaptable to changes. We believe that this approach to teaching-learning coupled with practical experience gained during industrial training in reputed organizations equip our students to handle the challenges posed by the software industry. Be a part of our Institute to discover a world of opportunities.
Best Wishes

Have you ever wondered how the search engines like Yahoo or Google work? It is the computer scientist who devises the revolutionary approaches that make search possible. Software engineers develop the programs that dig up search results. Information systems specialists design solutions that allow search companies to sell relevant advertisements. Computer engineers design complex, high-performance networks to cope with immense quantities of data. Computer professionals conceive and create fun and valuable apps for Android, iPhones, iPads, Windows 7 devices, Facebook and Twitter. Specialists in software engineering, IT and computer science work with artists to create attractive and engaging interfaces for consumers. The applications we use on mobile phones, which have made our life so easy are all designed by the Computer Engineers. CAT scans, MRIs and ultrasounds are all the products of computing professionals. Therefore, It wouldn't be wrong to call this age computer age. There is hardly an industry which doesn't make use of computers. Computing today is part of everything we do. With this, the demand for computer professionals also is growing exponentially. Understanding different dimensions of computing is part of the necessary skill set for an educated person in the 21st century. IT jobs are among the highest paid and have the highest job satisfaction level. Surely, major in computers open doors to interesting, creative and fulfilling careers.

The fast changing world economy has posed a challenge to the educational institutions to constantly revamp the discourse patterns. At IEC, we strive to gain a competitive edge in this arena. Having recognized the paradigm shift taking place in the management education to meet the aspiration of industry, we conduct the programs adding suitable values to the personality of students.
In the Globalization era, when the corporate houses in business management and IT are expanding their wings all over the globe, need arises to produce quality pool which possesses the skill set required by the employers. Keeping this in mind, we at IEC initiated teaching methodology which works towards enhancing the skills of the students, so that they can be the best human resource to match the industry requirements.
To do so IEC has adopted latest techniques in teaching methods which includes case studies, practical exercises, corporate guest lectures to fill up the gap between industry and academics, group activities to teach them how to work in team, practical exercises, and individual counseling for addressing their issues related to academics etc. The use of electronic media like PowerPoint presentations, use of internet, e-learning, mobile learning the classrooms helps students to understand the concepts better. Our students are constantly encouraged to do projects, give presentations, visit industries and attend several guest sessions in addition to individual mentoring sessions with the faculties. • Electronic Media • Case Studies • Group Activities • Industrial Visit • Individual Counselling • Corporate Guest Lectures • E-Learning • Mobile Learning • Practical Exercise • Interactive Learning • Smart Classes • Seminars
