Short CV: Giacomo Piervincenzi, a post-graduate law student at the University of Edinburgh, who is on course to complete his L.L.M. in International Economic Law. worked for almost one year in Talos Credit Advisory S.r.l. as an advisor specialized in financial and tax planning for the cinematographic industry. He was

responsible for negotiating the most favorable terms for both the movie producer and investor, creating financial plans and applying tax regulations. He graduated from LUISS Guido Carli with a degree in Economics and Management with the highest grade of 110/110 with honors in 2012, which placed him among the top five percent of the students. During this same period he did an internship at the accounting office of Ordine dei Medici di Roma and from 2011 to 2012.

Short CV: Rute Silva, (ISEG): started her career in May 2007 as Internal Audit Assistant in Assurance Company, providing support to the Internal Audit team. In September 2007, she moved to KPMG to the Corporate Income Tax department where she preformed corporate income tax audits, prepared corporate income tax documents to be delivered to the Tax Authorities by the clients and prepared advisory in tax specific procedures. In February 2009, she moved to Transfer Pricing department, where she was handling the transfer pricing evaluations of the clients and preparing the Transfer Pricing reports, these reports include the functional analysis and economic analysis.

Accountant with almost eight years of experience in preparing and analyzing financial reports for private and public companies. He has knowledge of the audit operations and processes, as well as of tax, and strategic issues for companies. During his employment at S.O.L S.A. – Crowe Horwath International, Themis has

Olga Galeuchet

Short CV: Olga Galeuchet started her career as accountant clerk in car distributor firm and after four years within this company she was promoted to chief accountant wherein she was responsible for profit and loss report, balance sheet, revising all the tax declarations and withstanding numerous tax & social security audits (mainly CIT and VAT audits). In October 2010, she moved to Switzerland and started her new career experience with Baxter Group, first in Corporate Finance AR department and six months later in AP department. In January 2013 she joined Baxter Corporate Tax team where her main responsibility was Transfer Pricing documentation for Baxter entities within EMEA region. From March 2014 she became a tax coordinator for Baxter entities in 12 countries, helping them in resolving various tax issues and preparing tax reports based on US GAAP principles. During the last couple of months she’s participating in the global Baxter spin-off project which has a historical significance for the company.

Short CV: Xavier Camps: Having a solid education in Law and Tax intensification, Xavier started his professional career in 2003 in Cuatrecasas, a Law Firm with high reputation in the Iberian market (Chambers Spain Law Firm of the Year 2014) advising family offices and worthy individuals. After a few years he joined PwC for a big four experience in order to increase his skills mainly on MNEs taxation and M&A tax restructuring.

Since 2010 he changed his career to in-house advising, currently working as the Group Tax Manager at the PepeJeans Group (500€ million turnover; Spanish headquarters).

Maria Alejandra Paez Palacios

Caracas 1979-1984. Read Law at the Santa Maria University of Caracas and obtained a Batchelors Degree 1985-1989. Graduated in 2004 with a Masters Degree in Tax Law from the Central University of Venezuela, Caracas . Completed an MBA at the European University Geneva 2010-2011. Between 1995 and 2007 attended over 22 tax courses in Seniat Treasury and World Bank sponsored courses in domestic and international taxation.

Short CV: Maria Alejandra In 1991 after a short training course with the

World Bank Maria Alejandra Paez Palacios started her career as part of a World Bank nominated team tasked with the reform the Seniat ,the Venezuelan Tax Authority and in 1994 became a senior legal tax counsel to the Seniat. Maria Alejandra was co-opted to government tax and tariff committees and commissions involved in the negotiation of double-taxation treaties, drafting of hydro carbon tax reforms, negotiating multi-national transfer pricing arrangements, acting as state prosecutor in over 500 gazetted tax and tax fraud cases and acting on arbitration panels. In 2011, Maria Alejandra finally left government service to start a new career as a tax consultant in Europe.

Joseph Kateregga

Short CV: Joseph Kateregga started his career in a bank (1997) and later joined the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) (a tax collecting body) in 1998. He is currently employed as Manager in the Large Taxpayers office. He is responsible for Tax audits of the Large Taxpayers (Manufacturers, Financial Institutions, Insurance, Telecoms and Energy enterprises). Under his docket is the newly created international tax unit. Additionally, he under takes training of URA staff in aspects of the Uganda Income Tax Laws. He has a strong desire to grow a career in International Taxation.

Short CV: Roberto Ramos González: After 3 years of commercial apprenticeship followed by 1 year of Professional Commercial Maturity he started his career in accountancy and finance in a multinational obtaining in the meantime the Federal Diploma of Specialist on Accountancy and Finance. He was working then as a controller and following the courses of Expert in Finance and Controlling. Having always worked with Taxes he decided to

Philippe Rapaccioli

Short CV: Philippe Rapaccioli has had significant experience in the financial management of industrial firms, having worked both in large multinational companies and in large family owned industrial firms. He started his career managing the foreign exchange and debt exposure of a large French industrial group and proceeded to

occupy various financial analyst positions where he was exposed to transfer pricing issues as well as cross company invoicing issues. As CFO of independent large family owned industrial groups, he has dealt with various tax audits and been involved in the creation of foreign affiliates with the corresponding tax implications.
