Recruitment Proposal for Curtiss Wright Controls
D e c i s i o n T o o l b o x • w w w . d t o o l b o x . c o mSTRATEGY
Curtiss Wright Controls anticipates outsourcing 10 recruiting projects to Decision Toolbox in 2009. The experience required by Curtiss Wright is often scarce, and only found within competitors or institutions outside the local area. By outsourcing the aggressive recruitment that is required to fill these often industry‐specific positions, Curtiss Wright expects to fill these positions in a timely manner, increase the quality of their hires, and access a broader, deeper candidate pool. DT PROJECT TEAM The Decision Toolbox Team is structured to function as an extension of your in house team and resources. DT will supplement your recruiting function with a deeply experienced team of professionals, including: • Professional Recruiters and Sourcers, each with 5‐20+ years of recruiting and sourcing experience, including recruiters with diversity and AIRS certification • An experienced team of professional writers and media specialists, specializing in planning and executing recruitment marketing campaigns for clients • A Quality Assurance team • Industry specialists and Subject‐Matter experts • Onboarding mentors, as desired DT TRACK RECORD AND HISTORY SNAPSHOT • Founded in 1992, and exclusive recruitment partner of the Employers Group since 2002 • Experience with over 12,000 projects (2,000+ different job titles spanning all levels) • 50% growth year over year since 2003, earning Decision Toolbox a place on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies in 2008. • Over 300 clients, nationwide • Cost per hire: averaging 7% of salary • Median days to present the candidate who is hired: 14 • Average candidate prospects presented per hire: 6.5 • Median YTD client satisfaction rating: 93.7% • Kim Shepherd, DT's CEO, has become nationally recognized as a subject matter expert in the area of recruitment and has been a keynote speaker at conferences such as PIHRA, EMA, Kennedy, and others. • Jay Barnett, DT's Founder, has pioneered development, implementation and usage of recruiting technology since 1979. • 40 associates located around the country DT’s UNIQUE VALUE PROPOSITIONMost RPO companies promise to cut costs and improve the quality of your recruitment process; DT delivers on both of these items while delivering a unique value proposition: • We’re real people – not a machine: By comparison to many in the RPO industry, Decision Toolbox is a small company. As such, we can provide you with a high level of customized, personalized service. Our goal is not to lock our clients into three year
deliberately structure our contracts so that we are incented to earn repeat business ‐ the ultimate KPI. • A technology backbone: DT’s in‐house developed recruiting technology, Recruiting Machine™, provides our clients and recruiters with advanced tools that make the candidate attraction, selection, management and information sharing processes extremely efficient, accurate and organized for everyone involved. This platform can either augment or serve as a client’s internal ATS. • We can increase the quality of your hires: DT is perhaps the only RPO to offer a 6 month candidate guarantee on standard searches. Additionally, we offer a “Recruit to Retain” Onboarding process that is unparalled: through our partner, EQ Mentor, we provide 24/7 online mentoring and community collaboration (EQVillage) that gives key prospects a forum to learn how to best be effective in their new role in a new organization – a key to successful retention of new talent. • A superb team of recruiting experts: Thanks to DT’s virtual business model and reputation, we are able to employ only top caliber, US‐based recruiters and researchers, averaging 10 or more years of experience. In this respect, our gain becomes your gain.

THE "MAGNET" SEARCH PROCESS We recommend our "MAGNET" RPO search process for Curtiss Wright. With our advanced technology platform as the backbone, our seasoned team applies effective marketing techniques, skilled use of the internet, referral cultivation, and prompt, thorough follow up action to get your positions filled quickly and inexpensively. This option provides significant volume pricing in exchange for a flexible annual Magnet search project volume commitment. The process includes: Establishing Specs and Strategy for each opening. DT guides the designated Curtiss Wright Hiring and Human Resources Manager through the "specs" call, in which we: • brainstorm on why the position is the ideal opportunity for the right candidate • agree upon the true requirements of the position • conceive the sourcing plan • clarify expectations, benchmarks and the process. Developing the Marketing and Screening tools. DT will serve as a true extension of Curtiss Wright’s HR team, both in “look” and “feel” to your clients (the hiring managers) and to candidate prospects. From the specs call, DT prepares a sourcing plan and a suite of tools (Jobinfo Writeup, Resume Supplement and Phone Screen) to market each position and screen candidate prospects. Sourcing/Candidate Development. Up to 45 days of sourcing is included in each Magnet search, with fine‐tuning along the way if necessary based on your feedback. The sourcing campaign comprises 4 prongs: The existing DT and Curtiss Wright database: Mining both databases for appropriate candidate prospects and sources of referrals. DT will continue to work with Curtiss Wright’s current India sourcing operation as requested by CURTISS WRIGHT. Additional job boards may be specifically requested by Curtiss Wright and are invoiced separately. Screening & Presentation. All prospects from all sources are captured in Recruiting Machine, DT's user‐friendly web portal. They are automatically thanked for their interest and informed of what to expect. Recruiting Machine's automated ranking engine puts them in order of qualification, so your designated DT Recruitment Partner can get to the strongest prospects first. Those who are most promising are thoroughly phone‐screened, and only the most viable prospects are forwarded to you. Video clips are captured and included when appropriate and feasible. Facilitation of Additional Candidate Assessment and Offer Facilitation. Once we are down to finalists, upon authorization from Curtiss Wright, DT coordinates candidate skills testing, behavioral assessment testing, reference checks, and background checks, and will assist with offer negotiation to the degree requested by Curtiss Wright. DT will ensure that all notices are given to and consents obtained from applicants for such checks and screens as required by applicable law, rule or regulation. Completion. When the position is filled DT notifies all applicant prospects, to close the loop courteously. REPORTING, TRACKING AND USE OF THE TECHNOLOGY DT logs all actions and feedback for your reference online, and provides you with 24/7 access to Recruiting Machine, where you can monitor real‐time project status and candidate data. Also, EEO/OFCCP voluntary data capture is included. Through an extremely user‐friendly and simple interface, designated Curtiss Wright and DT contacts will track and know the exact disposition of every job and applicant at any point in time. Specific items tracked: • Candidates screened and forwarded by DT (broken down by location) • Candidates scheduled for interviews by Curtiss Wright, including a multi‐user interview calendar • Candidates interviewed by Curtiss Wright with interview results • Candidates with pending background checks, skills testing and reference checks • The status of background checks, skills testing and reference checks • Candidates flagged for offers • The status of offers extended – i.e. accepted, declined • Affirmative Action Tracking • The system can be used to generate electronic offer letters to candidates
