Radware application delivery solution delivers a future-proof, application-aware approach for

deploying and managing applications, guaranteeing their availability, performance and security

while enabling to extract more value from IT investments in the physical and virtual data center.

Radware Application Delivery Solution

Application Delivery Challenges

Today’s IT manager application delivery challenges span multiple domains:

• Availability. Business reputation, productivity and profitability depend on continuous, 24/7 business and application availability. The financial implications of downtime can equate to up to about $900,000 for a small to medium-sized enterprise and could run up to several millions of dollars for larger enterprises.

• Performance. Website and business application response time must be fast - as network latency, overloaded servers, protocol “chattiness” and larger transaction volumes degrade employee productivity and customer satisfaction levels. • Security. Mission-critical applications should keep operating even when under attack. As enterprises expose more applications and services to employees, customers and business partners; the risk of security breaches increases. • Virtualization. Virtualization is becoming increasingly popular as it creates a single, consolidated infrastructure which enables the deployment of multiple resources on-the-fly, so that adding or removing applications takes place dynamically and quickly. The application delivery controller (ADC) must play an active role in the virtualization ecosystem to ensure the resilience and efficiency of virtualized applications while being synchronized with these dynamic changes.

• Scalability. In today’s global business landscape, data center infrastructure and applications are ever-changing; new applications are rolled-out, more users employ the applications and the overall throughput, and transactions and SSL connections capacity increase. The application delivery solution should address both today and tomorrow’s

requirements in the most cost-effective manner and with minimal hardware modifications.

• Application Performance Visibility. Ensuring applications deliver the best quality of experience requires IT

administrators to gain maximum visibility on all application delivery chain components. During roll-out, they must see which ADC has enough free resources to properly serve the application, and should get all relevant information during the service time, to identify and analyze SLA drops in the application in real time.

Radware ADC: The Most

Comprehessive Application

Delivery Solution

Radware’s application delivery solution delivers a complete set of services to ensure the availability, performance and security of the mission-critical applications in the data center. The solution provides a broad set of application-aware capabilities including load balancing, integrated application acceleration, security protection, ADC virtualization, disaster recovery and end-to-end visibility which ensure maximum value with minimal cost.

The Best Future-Proof ADC Solution

Radware ADC is designed to last. It delivers industry-unique features that are not available in any other ADC on the market, such as on-demand scalability up to 80 Gbps, performance leadership in all layer 4-7 metrics including 1024 and 2048 bit SSL key connection per second, and built-in 10GE ports – plus unique ADC virtualization offering customers the experience and ability to receive further business benefits. The combination of these advantages allows supporting new applications, more users and increased traffic without buying additional ADC units. By leveraging Radware ADC’s unique capabilities, customers can support future demands via its on demand license upgrade – making it the leading future-proof ADC solution.

Undisrupted Availability via Local & Global Server Load Balancing

Radware application delivery solution ensures absolute uptime and effective disaster recovery for local and globally dispersed applications at all times. By leveraging advanced health checks, traffic redirection, persistency and content modification capabilities, it guarantees

transaction completion through real-time identification and bypassing of any faulty element along the transaction path. In addition, Radware’s global server load balancing (GSLB) service ensures the global availability of all applications – whether they are based on DNS or not.

Superior Performance via Integrated Application Acceleration Services

Radware’s application delivery solution’s integrated application acceleration features are designed to accelerate application response time and ensure best application SLA while offloading server processing. By offloading processor intensive operations, such as SSL from the servers, it frees the servers’ CPUs to handle additional requests, which results in reduced application servers hardware and lower CAPEX. For example, when deploying Radware ADC with Microsoft SharePoint, the response time of SharePoint servers is accelerated by 350% and the servers’ CPU load is reduced by 40%.

In addition, Radware’s FastView™ solution adds Web Performance Optimization (WPO) capabilities on top of the standard application acceleration features to deliver the fastest Web application response time. FastView delivers the best business impact for increased revenues and higher customer loyalty for all browsers and end-user device types and is measureable with full reports and analytics.

ADC Consolidation & Virtualization with VADI™

Radware’s ADC-VX™, part of its Virtual Application Delivery Infrastructure (VADI) strategy, is the industry’s first ADC

virtualization and consolidation platform based on a specialized ADC hypervisor. This specialized hypervisor runs virtual ADC instances (vADC) where each delivers full ADC functionality,

while containing a complete and separated environment of resources, OS, configurations and management. ADC-VX is the ultimate ADC consolidation platform, enabling organizations to consolidate their ADC hardware devices without compromising resiliency or performance predictability of their ADC services. Radware’s ADC-VX offers the highest consolidation ratio in the industry, with up to 256 ADC services on a single device, resulting in higher savings of hardware and operational expenses as well as faster ROI compared to any other consolidation solution in the industry.

vADC per Application Approach

Thanks to the high vADCs density and the wide throughput range, organizations can adopt an innovative and very cost effective deployment model of their ADCs – named vADC per application. By allocating a separate, fully-isolated vADC instance for each application, businesses can maximize application availability thanks to fault isolation mechanism and to meet application SLA requirement with a resource reservation mechanism. Moreover, this deployment model simplifies operations by maintaining a separate, simpler configuration file per each application, and increases business agility thanks to a fast roll out of new vADCs and applications. With vADC per application, the cost of application delivery is significantly reduced compared to traditional ADC deployment models.

Ultimate Scalability via Radware’s ‘On Demand’ Strategy

By embracing Radware’s “pay-as-you-grow” approach, customers pay only for the exact capacity currently required, which prevents over-spending on the initial solution, while benefiting from top performance of high-end platform and best-in-class response time. Throughput capacity, vADC instances, acceleration capabilities and application-aware services can be added on demand to meet new business requirements – with no forklift upgrade of the device and without even restarting it. The “pay-as-you-grow” approach enables organizations to overcome capacity planning challenges and reduces the risk associated with data center growth for best investment protection. Additionally, Radware exclusively provides a 5-year platform longevity guarantee which results in extended project lifetime and accelerated ROI.

Shaped to Deliver Applications

Radware’s AppShape™ technology is designed to accelerate, simplify and optimize applications deployment on the ADC. AppShape offers configuration templates for leading business applications that help users to set and configure all the required ADC options in a user friendly manner, in order to achieve a faster application rollout and optimized performance of the ADC for the specific application.

With Radware’s AppShape, the application is managed from an application-centric view including management screens, reports, logs and compliance – resulting in simplified and efficient application management in the ADC. In addition, AppShape drives business agility through auto-discovery of application resources changes and automatically synchronizes them to the ADC with no human intervention.

Radware’s AppShape++ technology delivers scripting capabilities allowing customization of the ADC service per specific application flow and scenario. By leveraging the scripts examples library, customers can use AppShape++ to refine various layer 4-7 policies including HTTP, HTTPS, TCP, UDP, SSL and more – with no application modifications to reduce cost and risk.
