You can also enter Gateway mode by pressing CD6 and then selecting Track 3In Gateway mode but still no text
Follow the steps below to enter text selector mode and select the correct text mode on your Gateway module: (Please note that this option does not work on Peugeot CAN) ►Disconnect all devices from the Gateway ►Turn on the radio ►Select CDC and wait a few seconds. On the radio display you will see CD5/Track99 (Aux_in selected as source). ►Press and hold the skip>> button for 15 seconds. ►The display will now show Disc1 ‐ this indicates you have entered the Text Selector mode. ►Press skip >> to select track 2 (track 1 indicates text disabled). If you are unable to select track 2, the vehicle does not support text with the Gateway. “Aux” will now show in the display ** ►Press and hold skip >> for 3 seconds ►Plug in iPod which will start to play and song/artist information will be displayed. ** Some vehicles can support more than one display area, e.g. BMW have cluster and head unit support. In this case, the different track numbers (up to 4) represent the different display areas in the vehicle. If you decide to change where the text is to be displayed, follow the steps above and select a different track number. Pressing rew << at any time in the text selector mode will exit you without change.Checking the current SW version on GW100 and 300

Updating SW on GW100
1. Log on to http://www.dension.com/index.php?pageID=35and download the latest G5_B_UPD.ROM file from the update package and copy to the root of a USB flash drive. 2. Disconnect iPod from Gateway 3. Connect the USB drive to the Gateway while the audio system is ON. Update procedure will start automatically within a few seconds and takes 1.5 minutes. Do not disconnect the USB drive within this time. After a successful update G5_B_UPD.ROM is deleted from the USB drive and GW_EES.BIN file will appear with the new software version. When finished, it is better to restart the Head Unit and the Gateway 500. Now it is safe to reconnect the iPod. For Mercedes and Saab drivers with text capable Head Unit, text mode re‐ configuration is necessary as part of the firmware upgrade.
