Is SDN for me?

Programmable network - sounds like engineering. Perhaps very useful for

data centers as they have lot of switches.

Does SDN have relevance to University/Campus? I have heard that SDN is a

solution looking for problem to solve.

Well, SDN is definitely great for Data Centers, and, when you enable SDN in

Wi-Fi infrastructure, it is even greater for the Enterprise

Summary

The datacenter was where the need for SDN first surfaced and was most

keenly felt, but SDN is applicable across the enterprise network.

SDN is the only way to achieve unified wired-wireless network
