INTO strives to continuously improve its employee experience and we know that great communication across the company has a proven impact on positive employee engagement.

Reporting line

The role reports to the Vice President, Organisation Development.

Job purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to lead all INTO employee communications globally. Its main aims are to both focus on how we communicate globally and regionally and continue to improve employee engagement through clear, transparent and two-way communication. This role will work closely with global and regional HR teams and senior stakeholders, to deliver communications on a broad spectrum of employee engagement priorities and focus on their delivery methods for maximum employee engagement with them.

communications efforts around a broad range of employee engagement activities that fall within these impact areas with a focus on how they are communicated across the business.

This role will manage the INTO’s Employee Engagement and Communications Officer, where together, they will implement global and regional employee communications strategies.

The role will also work closely with the VP Organisation Development, HR Leadership Team members and members of the Executive Board to support them with their communications and employee engagement needs, providing them with best in class communications ideas and solutions alongside experienced and professional communications business partnering support.

Key accountabilities of this role would include: What we communicate

Communications Strategy & Implementation

o Develop, execute, and evaluate an internal communications strategy, ensuring that business goals, initiatives and organisational/people news are communicated regularly and effectively o Lead on the development and delivery of a global engagement and communications calendar

ensuring all initiatives/activities are delivered and communicated about in timely and efficient ways.

o Deliver end-to-end internal employee engagement plans and campaigns to inspire and engage employees. This will involve supporting senior leaders in their communications efforts in keeping their functions informed of updates and changes in consistent and engaging ways. o Support the Officer in the delivery of current (and future) activities and channels

People Team and Organisation communications

o Working closely with the global HR Leadership Team, regional HR Business Partners and senior leaders to craft and distribute key global or regional HR/people communications that are engaging for the audience whilst maintaining a clear, open and transparent

communication ethos.

Employee Experience communications

o Support both the VP Organisation Development and Organisation Development Support Manager in a wide range of OD initiatives with the aim to continuously improve INTO’s employee experience. This will involve a deeper understanding of the initiatives and help craft, distribute and support key global and regional OD communications e.g. Performance

Management, Learning & Development, Talent Management, Career Progression, Wellbeing, etc.

How we communicate

Communications Channels

o Lead on the review of existing communications channels - this includes analysing what is in place and making sound recommendations for improvement.

o Collaborate on the development and lead the communications rollout of our employee value proposition.

o Use these insights to develop and begin to roll out an enhanced channel network that reaches our people and meaningfully connects them to the business and to each other.

Strategy Communications

o Continue to articulate our strategic narrative and ensure it runs throughout everything we do. • External/Internal

o Work closely with colleagues leading on external communications and ensure our employees are best equipped to support and advocate for what we are saying externally.

Employee voice

Employee Engagement surveys

o Support the rollout of our continuous employee listening tool and help embed the recently piloted engagement survey platform within the organisation.

o Lead on the continuous communications and engagement of our surveys, ensuring we close the feedback loop each time and maintain high levels of participation and meaning local and global action planning.

Listening and acting on the voice of our people

o Seek out feedback and reflect the voice of our people throughout everything we do.

o Ensure there are consistent opportunities for our people to get involved, share their ideas and opinions and be heard.

Key Duties

• Advocate for employee engagement and communications best practices at INTO and be the go-to person for colleagues at all levels.

• Act as a trusted advisor to the VP Organisation Development and their team, the Global Leadership Team members and the Executive Board.

• Support the Organisation Development team in the creation, communication and ongoing maintenance of their employee engagement activities to continually drive positive employee experiences.

• Manage and support the Employee Engagement and Communications Officer to help deliver employee communications across the business.

• Create and deliver high quality creative communication material/content through your own work and working through others in the team.

• Ensure the most effective communications channels and tactics are used that enable clear and aligned messaging in line with INTO’s business strategy.

• Manage and enhance internal communications channels, ensuring there is a regular rhythm of communications with clear messaging.

• Build and foster relationships across business functions and locations to ensure employees are engaged and informed no matter where they are based.

• Drive a listening culture and build feedback mechanisms into employee engagement activities and internal communications to enable employees to have an opportunity for dialogue.

• Gather, analyse and present key employee engagement metrics to help support the delivery of key initiatives and prepare reports for key stakeholders in a timely fashion.

• Attend key meetings to support the VP Organisation Development.

• Support other ad-hoc projects and Organisation Development tasks, as required.

Location

The post is based in Brighton. Global travel may be necessary, and flexibility is required to meet the demands of the post, including occasional weekend working. The post holder may be reasonably required to work from any INTO or partner location at any time.
