internal consultations, and coaching.

 Identified faculty workforce needs, recruited candidates, and onboarded new hires. Oversaw the search process for multiple top-level faculty recruitments.

 Worked collaboratively with 10 graduate academic programs, five of which are offered online or in hybrid format, to identify and support faculty to meet the instructional needs of students.  Served as liaison to 2U, Rossier’s educational technology partner company, about faculty

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

 Contributed to strategic planning efforts, such as the Research Vision 2020 Strategic Plan, by coordinating focus groups and conducting institutional research.

 Facilitated multiple leadership committees in making timely, evidence-based decisions on topics related to institutional priorities, governance, organization structure, and compliance.

 Provided faculty development and mentoring programs for junior faculty members, clinical researchers, and individuals undergoing promotion.

Duke University

Director of Faculty Development, School of Medicine, Durham, NC, 2005- 2007

 Directed institution-wide faculty development program providing educational and mentoring services to assist the 1,600 Duke University School of Medicine faculty members in succeeding in their careers.

 Developed a 3-year strategic plan for faculty development that defined measurable goals related to programmatic initiatives, institutional and evaluation research, and the work environment.  Directed the Professional Development Seminar Series: orchestrated approximately 20 courses

per year on topics such as grant writing, management skills, public speaking, new faculty orientation, workplace conflict, and career planning. Recruited high quality, seasoned experts to conduct the trainings.

 Conducted focus groups on career development needs for junior and senior faculty members.  Served as lead staff person for the implementation and oversight of two externally funded faculty

development and training grants: a 3-year, $500,000 grant from the Duke Foundation and a 5-year, $2.3 million grant from the National Institutes of Health.

American College of Cardiology

Associate Director for Knowledge Transfer, Washington, DC, 2002-2004

 Managed staff of five and $1 million annual budget for the cross-organizational collaboration between the American College of Cardiology, American Heart Association, and European Society of Cardiology.

 Wrote 3-year business plan for knowledge transfer focused on the implementation of innovative technological solutions to develop and deliver clinical knowledge.

 Conducted research and writing on topics such as conflict of interest disclosure, systematic literature review, methodology for clinical practice guidelines, and physician adherence to practice guidelines.

Senior Analyst, Quality Improvement, Washington, DC, 1999-2002

 Staffed the Quality Strategic Task Force of the Board of Trustees in developing a 5-year plan for the ACC’s priorities for science and quality improvement activities.

 Facilitated multiple expert working groups in developing consensus on cardiovascular clinical practice guidelines.
