SOCIAL SCIENCES & EDUCATION

The Social Sciences and Education programs at Tidewater Community

College prepare students for occupations in child care, child and youth

education, and human services. The Certificate and Career Studies

Certificates are available for students who may wish to fine-tune their

skills or add new ones. Associate of Applied Science Degrees are more

comprehensive programs designed to prepare students for specific careers

in early childhood development and human services.
