Backup Solution
1. Solid State Drives (SSD) will provide a performance boost over HDD (can be combined with slower bulk storage)
Windows® Server 2008 or 2012 Raid 1 or Raid 5
Windows® Server 2008 or 2012
Back up on external hard disk, tape or NAS. (Online / offsite backup is recommended.) Internet connectivity Server must be connected to the internet via high-speed internet connection.
Windows® Server 2003 or 2008
Back up on external hard disk, tape or NAS. (Offsite backup is required.
2. Drive capacity requirements increase with scanning and imaging storage needs. 3. RAID 5 or RAID 10 recommended for maximum performance and redundancy. 4. Current Gen Intel Xeons are recommened.
5. Standard requirement for internet service: Static IP required, Latency: Minimum 50ms latency round trip on a standard ping packet. Packet Loss: Less than 1%. Patient Portal

Any Twain Compatible scanner is compatible with IMS. We recommend the following: Medium-sized organization or single-department application: Fujitsu fi-6130 or fi-6230 sheet-fed scanners
Larger organizations: Fujitsu models: fi-6140, fi-6240 or fi-5530C2 sheet-fed scanners 2. The following can contribute to system slowness: Firewall/Antivirus Software (even if virus scan is not running, it will scan each file that is downloaded and opened or scanned and saved); insufficient RAM Memory; Hard Drive Encryption; Multiple Network Switches; Slow Network/More traffic on network; Low space on System partition or working partition.

Setup instructions:
It will occupy one LAN Port of your network. So it needs to be placed where a fax line jack and a network/LAN jack are available. The fax server requires a dedicated analog fax line. (no line sharing with credit card, voice, etc.)
Any touch screen which can simulate mouse/keyboard input via touch will work fine. Tested Models: PT1710MX 17-inch touch screen monitor, HP Touch Smart series
Discretion of local IT technician
For better performance we recommend gigabit switches and routers.
Hardwiring your office to the internet is always the best solution. However, if you seek the convenience of wireless PCs, you do have the option of using them through a Terminal Services connection. Setting up a simple remote connection will give you the flexibility of wireless internet with the dependability of a hardwired connection. Please ask our team for more details about how to set this
