A. iPhone/iPad (iOS 7.1.2)

To Setup PolyU Connect Email

The following illustrations are based on iPhone 5 running iOS 7.1.2.

iPhone - To Download other MS Office Related Apps

To download, search the following Apps Name as listed below in App Store. To activate, please login with your Connect account <NetID>@connect.polyu.hk and your password. For more information, go to http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/mobile/ and then click iPhone.

2. Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars 3. Select Add Account 4. Select Microsoft Exchange

5. Enter the following info., then select Next Email <NetID>@connect.polyu.hk Password Your password

Description e.g. “PolyU Connect”

1. Select Settings

6. Make sure Mail option is ON.

(Other settings are optional.) 7. Select Save

*Remarks: Please enter outlook.office365.com, if the Server cannot be found.

iPad - To Download other MS Office Related Apps

To download, search the following Apps Name as listed below in App Store. To activate, please login with your Connect account <NetID>@connect.polyu.hk and your password. For more information, go to http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/mobile/ and then click iPad.

B. Android Platform (version 2.3.2) - Setup PolyU Connect Email

The following illustrations are based on a mobile device using Android OS Ver. 2.3.2.

1. Select Email application to show the Set up email page

2. Enter your PolyU Connect Email (i.e. <NetID>@connect.polyu.hk) 3. Enter your password

4. Select Manual Setup

5. Select Exchange Active Sync as the type of account in Add new email account page

6. Enter the following info., then select Next

7. Select OK 8. Select your preferred options and then select Next

9. Enter a description (e.g. PolyU Connect) 10. Select Done (The Inbox

will then be opened)

11. If this screen shown, click Activate to complete the configuration

C. Android Platform (version 4.3)

To Setup PolyU Connect Email

The following illustrations are based on a mobile device using Android OS Ver. 4.3.

a. Select Settings >

Accounts > Add account

b. Select Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync c. Select Next

d. Enter your PolyU Connect Email (i.e.

<NetID>@connect.polyu.hk ) and your password

e. Wait for several minutes and then follow the step 6 - step 10

1. Select Email application to show the Set up email page

2. Enter your PolyU Connect Email (i.e.

<NetID>@connect.polyu.hk) and your password 3. Select Manual Setup

4. Select Exchange Active Sync

5. Enter the following info., then select Next

6. Select OK 7. Select your preferred options and then select Next

8. If this screen shown, click Activate

9. Enter a description (e.g. PolyU Connect) 10. Select Done (The Inbox

will then be opened)

Domain\username \<NetID>@connect.polyu.hk Exchange server outlook.office365.com Remarks: If your email cannot be configured automatically, please follow the settings (step 1 - step 10) below.

D. Windows Phone 7 - Setup PolyU Connect Email

The following illustrations are based on a mobile device using Windows Phone 7.

1. If this is the first email account to be set up, select the Email setup on the home screen. (or select Settings > email & accounts > add an account)

2. Select Outlook in the ADD AN ACCOUNT page

3. Enter your PolyU Connect Email (i.e. <NetID>@connect.polyu.hk), your password and select sign in 4. Your email account will be configured automatically.

If your PolyU Connect Email CANNOT be configured automatically, please follow the following steps.

a. Select Settings > email & accounts > add an account b. Select advanced setup in the ADD AN ACCOUNT page

c. In the ADVANCED SETUP page, enter your information as shown and select Next accordingly

d. Click sign in to continue. Wait for a while, your email account will be configured.

E. Windows Phone 8.1

To Setup PolyU Connect Email

1. Select the mail icon if this is the first email account to be set up.
