Phone Book Download - If the phone prompts to accept connection or allow phone book download, select always accept and allow. The phone book may not be available if not accepted. Voice access to the phone book is restricted until the process is complete.

Preferred device/Trusted device - Select/toggle “yes” (pull down the accessory bar if necessary) to allow automatic connection between Phone and vehicle. Paired Phone must be in the vehicle with Bluetooth set to On for automatic connection to take place.

Note: When an iPhone is Bluetooth connected and also plugged into the USB port you need to change the connection setting on the iPhone. Change setting on iPhone from “Your Vehicle” (example: Cadillac XTS) to “Dock Connect” to allow multiple inputs.

Begin at the Home screen of your phone and drill down through Menus for Bluetooth settings and set-up.

Note that Bluetooth is a radio connectivity feature and maybe included in the settings menu for your mobile network, wi-fi , Hotspot etc.

1. Bluetooth must be set to ON

2. Make your phone discoverable/visible to the vehicle

(this may happen automatically with step 1)

3. Search/Scan/Add New Device. This looks for the vehicles Bluetooth signal

(this may happen automatically with step 1)

4. Vehicle is found and displayed.

(Phone is found and displayed by vehicle)

5. Secure the phone/vehicle connection by confi rming a matching passkey/PIN prompt

6. The vehicle will appear as Paired on the phone.

(Phone will appear as paired on the vehicle)

7. Trust/ Remember this device initiates an automatic connection when the phone returns to the vehicle.
