The details of the prizes and how to enter the Sweepstakes are contained in these Official Rules. ELIGIBILITY. #GOKINGSGO AT THE PENALTY BOX SWEEPSTAKES (the “Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of California who reside within a seventy-five (75) mile radius of STAPLES Center, and who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Void where prohibited by law. Employees of The Los Angeles Kings Hockey Club, L.P. a/k/a LA Kings (“Sponsor”), Anschutz Entertainment Group, Inc., L.A. Arena Company, LLC, L.A. Arena Funding, LLC, and the National Hockey League (“NHL”), and each of their respective affiliates, owners, subsidiaries, advertising, or promotion agencies are not eligible, nor are members of these employees' families (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse, and life partners). Proof of residency and age may be required.
TIMING. The Sweepstakes begins at 10:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time (“PDT”) on April 12, 2018, and ends at 9:00 PM PDT on April 14, 2018 (“Promotion Period”). Entries received prior to or after the Promotion Period are disqualified. Limit of one (1) entry per person, per email address, social media account, or per household during the entire Promotion Period.
HOW TO ENTER. During the Promotion Period, there are two (2) ways to enter: Twitter or Instagram. No other method(s) of entry will be accepted. Limit one (1) entry per person, per household, email address, or social media handle, as applicable, regardless of method of entry. Multiple entries received from any person, email address, social media account or household in excess of the stated limitation will be void.
1. Twitter: During the Promotion Period, you may upload/post one (1) photo on Twitter taken at the LA Kings penalty box at the Westfield Mall, located in Century City, California, using the hashtag #GoKingsGo. You must use the official Twitter photo application or website. Photos originating from third-party photo hosting sites will not be eligible. By submitting your photo as set forth above, you will receive one (1) entry in the Sweepstakes. If you do not have a Twitter account, you can create a free account at
www.twitter.com. If you make or receive tweets on your mobile phone, standard data fees
may apply. See your wireless provider for pricing plan details. In order to participate in the Sweepstakes without receiving tweets on your mobile phone, be sure to deactivate your mobile phone from your Twitter account.
2. Instagram: During the Promotion Period, in order to enter the Sweepstakes through Instagram, you must (a) be a registered user of Instagram with a public profile. Registration is free and can be done by visiting http://instagram.com, and (b) upload one (1) original photo taken at the LA Kings penalty box at the Westfield Mall, located in Century City,
California, using the hashtag #GoKingsGo. If you would like to follow the LA Kings on Instagram, visit https://instagram.com/lakings and click on the icon to follow @LAKings. If you choose to enter via Instagram using your mobile phone, standard data fees may apply. See your wireless provider for pricing plan details. All eligible entries will be posted on #GoKingsGo.
This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Twitter or Instagram. You are providing your information to Sponsor and not to Twitter or Instagram.
Multiple entries received from any person, email address, social media account, or household in excess of the stated limitation will be void. Any attempt by a person to enter more than once with multiple email accounts may result in disqualification at the discretion of Sponsor upon verification of prize Winners. Sponsor, Anschutz Entertainment Group, Inc., L.A. Arena Company, LLC, L.A. Arena Funding, LLC, and the NHL, are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, garbled, illegible, or misdirected Sweepstakes entries, or for any error, human, technical or otherwise, which may occur in the processing of Sweepstakes entries. Proof of sending will not be deemed to be proof of receipt. All entries become the exclusive property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Any use of robotic, automatic, programmed or similar entry methods will void all such entries by such methods.
USE OF DATA. By submitting your completed photo and all other requested information as directed, you will receive one (1) entry in the Sweepstakes. All information and files submitted in format specified will become property of Sponsor, and used as provided in the Sponsor’s Terms of Use at http://kings.nhl.com and Privacy Policy accessible at http://kings.nhl.com. (both of which are incorporated herein by reference). Entrants must fully complete and submit all non-optional data requested to be eligible. Incomplete entries are void. Participants will be given the option to receive commercial e-mails and promotional materials, however, eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes is not dependent upon participant’s consent to receive such e-mails and promotional materials.
By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants hereby agree to all personal information uses and disclaimers as explained in Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at www.LAKings.com.
AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES. Participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and Sponsor's Privacy Policy at www.LAKings.com and to be contacted by telephone and/or email.
SELECTION OF POTENTIAL WINNERS. Three (3) Winners will be selected at random on or about April 15, 2018 (each a “Winner,” and collectively, the “Winners”). Winners will be notified via telephone on or about April 15, 2018. Sponsor's decisions as to all matters related to administration of the Sweepstakes and selection of the Winners is final. Potential Winners, and their guest, must comply with all terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules, and winning and award of Prizes is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. If a potential Winner cannot be contacted upon first attempt to contact such potential Winner, an alternate entrant will be selected
in his or her place at random from all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.
PUBLICATION AND ASSIGNMENT OF RIGHTS TO SUBMISSIONS: By entering the Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees that his or her submission is an original photo, and he or she owns all right, title and interest in the entry as of the date of submission. Entries cannot defame or invade the publicity rights or privacy of any person, living or deceased, or otherwise infringe upon any person’s personal or property rights or any other third party rights. If the entry contains any material or elements that are not owned by the entrant and/or which are subject to the rights of third parties, the entrant is responsible for obtaining and has obtained, prior to submission of the entry, any and all releases and consents necessary to permit the use and exhibition of the entry by Sponsor in the manner set forth in these Official Rules, including, without limitation, name and likeness permissions from any person who appears in or is identifiable in the entry. If any identifiable person appearing in the entry is under the age of majority in his/her state of residence, the parent or legal guardian is required to provide permission. Sponsor reserves the right to require proof of these permissions in a form acceptable to Sponsor from any entrant at any time. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry it deems to be offensive, inappropriate, not in keeping with Sponsor’s image or that is otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules, in its sole discretion.
By entering the Sweepstakes, entrants agree to assign all right, title, and interest, including copyright rights, in the entry to Sponsor and grant permission for Sponsor and its respective designees to publish or publicize all or part of their entry, including but not limited to entrant’s name, likeness and photograph submission, in whole or in part, for advertising, promotional and trade or other purposes in conjunction with this and similar promotions in any and all media now known or hereafter developed, worldwide in perpetuity, without notice or permission and without further compensation, except where prohibited by law.
PRIZES: Three (3) prizes (each a “Prize,” and collectively the “Prizes”) will be awarded in all. Each Winner will receive one (1) of the following Prizes based on the order in which each Winner is randomly selected:
Prize #1: Two (2) tickets for Winner and one (1) guest to attend the LA Kings v. Las Vegas Golden Knights home playoff game #1 of Round 1 of the 2017-18 NHL playoffs (“Game”) taking place at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA on April 15, 2018, (exact location of tickets shall be determined by the Sponsor in its sole determination). Winner’s Guest must be of legal age of majority in their jurisdictions of residence and at least 18 years of age, unless accompanied by his/her parent or legal guardian. (Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of Prize #1: $200.00) Prize does not include meals, parking, beverages, travel to/from STAPLES Center, gratuities or any other expenses of a personal nature, unless otherwise set forth above. Except where otherwise expressly noted in these Official Rules, the selection of all vendors, prizes, products and services is subject to the Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. Prize (and/or any portion thereof) are nontransferable and non-exchangeable. No substitutions or cash redemption of Prizes are permitted except that Sponsor retains the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater retail value (or at Sponsor's election, the cash value of the applicable prize).
Winner and Guest agree to comply with all applicable stadium regulations in connection with the Prizes. Sponsor reserves the right to remove or deny entry to Winner and/or any Guest who engage in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at Game. Releasees (as defined below) will not be responsible for weather, Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other event that may cause the cancellation or postponement of any NHL game.
Prize #2: One (1) hockey puck, signed by one or more members of the LA Kings. (ARV of Prize #2: $10.00.)
Prize #3: One (1) hockey puck, signed by one or more members of the LA Kings. (ARV of Prize #3: $10.00.)

All federal, state and local taxes related to the Prizes are the sole responsibility of each Winner. All other expenses and costs not expressly listed above are each Winner’s sole responsibility. No refunds or credit for changes are allowed. No transfer of the prizes is permitted. The Winners must execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Release of Liability, Publicity and W9 prior to receipt of Prize. Noncompliance within this time period may result in disqualification, and an alternate winner may be selected. Return of any prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
GENERAL CONDITIONS. The Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, excluding conflicts of laws principles. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Sweepstakes void where prohibited. Sweepstakes may only be entered in or from California and entries originating from any other jurisdiction are not eligible for entry. Except where prohibited by law, Winners grant to Sponsor and their advertising agencies, the right to use and publish Winners’ photo, proper name, likeness, voice, opinions, biographical information and state in any media to promote the Sweepstakes without additional compensation. Winner agrees that Guest of Winner shall be required to do the same. By entering, participants release, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor, Anschutz Entertainment Group, Inc., L.A. Arena Company, LLC, L.A. Arena Funding, LLC, and the NHL, and each of their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, owners, members, shareholders, directors, officers, employees and agents (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all liability for any injuries, loss, illness or damage of any kind, including, without limitation, any food related allergies or illness or death, arising from or in connection with the Sweepstakes or receipt or use and/or misuse of any prize.
WITHOUT LIMITING THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING, THE PRIZES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AND THE RELEASED PARTIES HEREBY DISCLAIM ALL SUCH WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES
OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND/OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud or any other factor impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion.
Online entries are deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. The "authorized account holder" is deemed the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, service provider or other online organization that is responsible for assigning mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. A potential winner may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof that the potential winner is the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the winning entry and is a California resident. Prize will only be awarded to the authorized account holder. If, in Sponsor’s opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Sweepstakes, or if technical difficulties compromise the integrity of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to void any entries at issue (including disqualifying any individual who tampers or otherwise interferes with the entry process), and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. In the event of such cancellation, Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes in a random drawing from all eligible entries received before the time of cancellation. Sponsor in no way promotes illegal acts, and any and all entries which include or promote illegal acts will be disqualified. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction of unauthorized access to, or alternation of, entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, including www.lakings.com, any combination thereof, or otherwise, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Sweepstakes.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Participants in the Sweepstakes hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of California courts (state and federal) in Los Angeles County for any causes or controversies arising out of the sweepstakes. Each Winner and any guest waive any and all objections to jurisdiction and venue in these courts.
WINNERS’ LIST. Sweepstakes results and copy of these Official Rules may be obtained by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: " #GOKINGSGO AT THE PENALTY BOX SWEEPSTAKES" c/o LA Kings Marketing Dept., 800 W. Olympic Blvd., Suite 305, Los Angeles, CA 90015. Results will be available after April 27, 2018. Requests for results must be received by May 31, 2018.
