Energy Saving by Using Multiple Carriers

1.

The power amplifier efficiency is improved by using the carrier modules in BTS3900.

2. For the multi-carrier technology, multiple carrier signals are transmitted on one radio frequency

channel. Therefore, in the case of high-level configuration, the quantity of modules is minimized, and

the power consumption is significantly reduced.

Challenges facing the customer

 Operator S has an annual power expense budget of 212 million Yuan. The first quarter has consumed 24% of the annual budget. The operation and maintenance cost budget imposes great pressure upon the operator.

 Operator S is facing an energy-saving audit but lacking investment budget on energy-saving alteration of the network.
