Funding Your MyKidsSpending Account

There are two options for funding your account:

Fund Account allows you to make one-time deposits as needed via credit card or electronic check. Automatic Transfers can be set up so that funds will automatically be taken out of your checking account according to the parameters you set. Please note auto-funding requires a checking account and cannot be set up with a credit card.

 At the top of the form, it shows the amount of the charge that will be processed to your credit card.

 Enter the required information; please note that at this time, we can only accept VISA or MasterCard.

 Once all information has been entered and reviewed, please single click on the Submit button. Click this once. Do not double click.

 Your credit card approval code will display at the bottom of the box.  You will receive an emailed confirmation of your credit card deposit.

 After depositing, your account balance will immediately reflect your credit card deposit. The account balance at the school will reflect this deposit once synchronization between web and school takes place. While we ask that you leave 24 hours for the funds to be available, they will often be available more quickly.

 If you do not see an approval code and/or you do not receive an email confirmation, please contact MyKidsSpending via email or phone to verify if the deposit went through or not.  Please note that as we do not store credit card information, you will need to re-enter your

credit card information each time you wish to fund the account. PROCESS ELECTRONIC CHECK

 If this is the first time you choose to pay by electronic check, you will see the screen on the next page.

 Enter in your checking account information as required.

 If you decide to set up auto-replenish you can do so now by checking the Auto Replenish checkbox. Please refer to the next section on setting up Auto-Transfers.

 After you have entered in and reviewed your checking account information, please check the Submit button under the onscreen check example.

When the account first hits its threshold, you will be sent a notification email that the account will be auto-funded the next evening. The actual debit to your account will occur the following evening, and you will get an additional email confirming when the auto-fund does occur. You can turn off auto-funding in between the first notification email and the actual auto-fund event. Refer above to Canceling Auto-Fund.

If auto-funding is enabled on your account and if the bank for any reason rejects the auto-fund, the auto-fund option will be automatically disabled on your account. Therefore, if you get an “e-check failed” email, this means the auto-fund did not take place and it has been disabled. You will need to access your MyKidsSpending account, correct whatever error was reported by the e-check failed email, and re-enable auto-funding as directed above.
