Congratulations for
getting a Nordea card
When you start using
a Nordea credit card on a daily basis:
• You pay safely and flexibly all over the world, and also on the Internet.
• You get a payment period for all your credit card purchases and a monthly summary of your card transactions.
• Goods you have purchased with the card’s credit feature are insured with the Product Safety Insurance in accordance with its terms and conditions.
A combination card
includes two cards:
Credit and Debit
Credit refers to the charge and credit feature of the card. With the credit you can buy things you only dreamed of before. For purchases made with the credit feature you get an interest-free payment period of 30 days on average. After that you set your own schedule for paying your purchases. With the combination card’s debit feature you pay for your purchases directly from the bank account linked to your card.
Credit facility offers flexibility
The continuous credit facility linked to the card gives you many opportunities up to the agreed credit limit:
• The credit facility allows even bigger purchases and you can set the schedule for paying off the credit. • You can conveniently transfer money from the credit
facility to your bank account in Netbank.
• You can pay your bills with the credit facility at Nordea’s payment ATMs.
The annual percentage rate of charge on a Nordea Gold MasterCard credit of EUR 1,500 is 12% (for Key Customers , 03/2014) and on a Nordea Credit MasterCard 13,1% (Key Customers, 03/2014). The interest rate is the 3-month Euribor + 7.5% (Nordea Gold) or 8.5% (Nordea Credit). The monthly account fee of EUR 2.50 has been taken into account in the calculations. For Key Customers, the principal card is free (no annual or monthly fee). The annual percentage rates of charge for the other customer groups can be found on the Internet at nordea.fi/Cards. The credit limit for Nordea Gold is a minimum of EUR 2,000 and a maximum of EUR 10,000. The credit limit for Nordea Credit is a minimum of EUR 1,000 and a maximum of EUR 5,000. The credit is valid until further notice. The total credit amount depends on the use of the credit, the agreed amount of the repayment instalments and the duration of the credit agreement. The creditor is Nordea Finance Finland Ltd, Aleksis Kiven Katu 9, Helsinki, FI-00020 NORDEA or Nordea Bank Finland Plc, Aleksanterinkatu 36, Helsinki, FI-00020 NORDEA.

Cashback at stores’ checkouts
You can withdraw cash from your bank account in Finland in connection with card purchases in stores offering this cashback service. When your card has the debit feature, you can withdraw cash. Remember to tell the cashier that you also want to withdraw cash.
The bank does not charge a withdrawal fee from the cardholder, but the store may charge a handling fee for the transaction.
Flexible shopping
With Nordea credit card you can pay flexibly in Finland and abroad. When you have a combination card, you can select whether you pay for your purchases and withdraw cash from the credit facility (Credit) or from your bank account (Debit). You can only select the debit feature when the payment transaction is made at a payment terminal with the card’s chip and accepted with the PIN. In other cases, the purchase is debited to the credit facility and accepted with your signature. You recognise a combination card from the debit card number on the back of the card.
When paying at a payment terminal, insert the card in the reader, select the payment method and follow the given instructions. Check the payment method, the total sum on the display and accept the payment by keying in your PIN.
When you have registered your card for online use, you can make online purchases. You can change your online settings in Nordea’s Netbank under Cards Usage areas and Internet.

When paying for your purchases online, you need the card number, the card validity and the three-digit security code (CVC2). The debit card number and security code are on the back of your card.
The MasterCard SecureCode service used by online merchants improves the security of online card payments. The service authenticates the identity of the parties in a payment transaction, namely the buyer and the seller, in real time. In the service you confirm the payment with your Nordea access codes. Online merchants who participate in the service display the MasterCard SecureCode symbol on their website. For cash withdrawals there are over a million automated teller machines (ATMs) with the MasterCard symbol all over the world. A list of the ATMs can be found at mastercard.com.

Personalise your card
(picture of a picture card) You can personalise your MasterCard by choosing a picture from your own digital photos or from Nordea’s picture gallery. Read the special terms and conditions concerning picture cards and apply for a picture card in Netbank under Cards Picture to card.*Link the K-Plussa feature to your card
You no longer have to carry a number of cards in your wallet. You can link the K-Plussa feature to your Nordea MasterCard if you already have a valid K-Plussa loyal customer number. You can link the feature to your card in Netbank under Cards Card editing and renewal.*
Change a PIN you like for your card
Now you can choose a PIN which you can easily remem-ber. You can order the PIN in Netbank. Remember that a good PIN should not be too easy to guess.*

Go to a Nordea branch together with the applicant for the parallel card. You can manage the use of the parallel cards by setting for them an invoice-specific spending

security limits, geographical limitations and a
limitation on online use
Limiting the use of the card increases security as the card can only be used within the limits you have set. You can change the limits concerning the use of your card in Netbank.
• You can set daily withdrawal limits on your card for cash ATMs. In addition, you can set daily security limits on bills paid immediately at payment ATMs. The daily security limit does not concern payments that are debited on a later due date. Depending on the card type, the security limits function differently for each card’s debit and credit feature.
• By limiting the usage area you can limit the geographical usage area of your card. For example: you can allow the use of the card only in Finland and expand the area when you travel abroad. The geographical limitations do not apply to online purchases.
• With online settings you can allow or prevent the use of your card on the Internet. The settings can be changed in Netbank as often as you like according to your needs.

*The bank charges a fee in accordance with its tariff for the manufacture of a picture card, the renewal of a card in connection with the linking of new features (K-Plussa feature, a PIN you have selected) and for a parallel card. The tariff is available at nordea.fi.
Product Safety insurance
When you pay for goods purchased for your home or holiday home with Nordea Credit or Nordea Gold card’s credit facility, you get considerable added security for the purchases. The insurance covers products costing at least 100 euros in accordance with the insurance terms and conditions.
International travel insurance
When you pay 75% in the minimum of your trip and accommodation abroad with Nordea Gold card’s credit feature, you get leisure travel insurance for yourself and accompanying family members without any extra charge.* Read the insurance terms and conditions at nordea.fi.

Emergency cash: When you are travelling, you may lose
your card or it may fall into the wrong hands. Nordea’s emergency cash is intended for exactly this kind of unexpected moments when you are in quick need of cash. The emergency cash withdrawn and the fees will be added to your next invoice.
If you lose your card, call the blocking service (24/7) im-mediately at +358 20 333 (local rates apply). Inform the blocking service if you are in need of emergency cash. In other matters concerning the use of your card, Nordea Customer Service will help you at 0200 70 000 (local network charge, mobile call charge),
Mon–Sun 10.00–16.30.

Use your card
with care
• Prevent outsiders from seeing your PIN when you key it in at ATMs, payment terminals at shops or other places of use.
• Never reveal the PIN to outsiders, even when you are keying it in at ATMs or other places of use.
• Never tell the PIN over the phone, by e-mail or in any other way. Even a banking officer or a police officer will never ask you to tell your PIN.
• Store your card as carefully as cash and check regularly that it is safe. Do not leave it unattended in a car, on a restaurant table, or in your office or hotel room.
• Always check the sum total before keying in the PIN or signing a sales receipt.
• Monitor your card transactions in Netbank or on your account statements. If you do not recognise a transaction, submit a card debit inquiry to Nordea at nordea.fi, call Nordea Customer Service or visit one of our branches.
• Set personal daily security limits on your card.
If your card is lost or is seized by a foreign ATM, report it immediately to the card blocking service (24/7): In Finland 020 333 and from abroad +358 20 333. It is advisable to save the number of the blocking service in your mobile phone. If your card is stolen, remember to report it to the police.
