Product  Marketing  Manager  

 

Bestolife  is  a  global  leader  in  the  manufacture  of  compounds  for  use  in  drilling,  production  and  industrial  applications.     We  are  looking  for  top-­‐notch  employees  with  oil  and  gas  industry  experience  who  can  grow  our  domestic  and  

international  business.    

POSITION  DESCRIPTION:    

 

  We   have   an   opening   for   a   Dallas   based   Product   Marketing   Manager   who   will   lead   all   product   &   market   strategies   designed   to   reach   aggressive   sales   targets.   Specific   responsibilities   include   business   and   market   development;   managing   the   product   portfolio,   setting   prices   for   products   based   on   market   value,   new   product   development,   assisting  in  developing  downstream  product  training,  market  research  and  planning;  strategic  direction  for  promotion,   advertising  and  pricing;  coordination  with  sales  and  directing  the  day-­‐to-­‐day  activities  of  marketing  under  the  direction   of  the  President.  

     

PRIMARY  DUTIES  AND  RESPONSIBILITIES:    

• Serve  as  strategic  marketing  expert  within  the  company.    

• Empower  the  direct  and  channel  sales  and  marketing  teams  to  sell  and  market  more  effectively  via  differentiated   product  and  solution  positioning,  competitive  insights  and  sales  tools.    

• Assist  in  setting  the  content  strategy  for  key  buyers  and  segments.  Facilitate  and  create  content  for  different  stages   of  the  sales  cycle  for  those  buyers  and  segments.    

• Develop  the  annual  marketing  plan  with  supporting  strategies,  tactics  and  resources.  

• Collaborate  with  the  team  to  create  and  drive  marketing  campaigns  that  boost  leads,  utilization,  satisfaction  and   revenue.    

• Provide  leadership  and/or  support  the  design,  development,  and  implementation  of  products  and  service  lines.   • Develop  relevant  market  and  product  research,  competitive  analysis,  costing,  pricing  and  opportunity  analysis  for  

all  products.    

• Create  a  marketing  reporting  function  that  can  track,  measure  and  analyze  performance.  

• Ensure   all   marketing   communications   are   coordinated,   support   marketing   plan   objectives   and   are   an   effective   expenditure  of  resources.    

• Coordinate  marketing  efforts  of  resellers,  including  international  resellers,  with  strategic  plans  and  objectives.   • Participate  fully  in  professional  societies  and  activities    

• Conduct  competitive  product  offering  evaluation  studies     • Other  duties  as  assigned  

 

REQUIREMENTS:      

 

• Bachelor’s  degree  or  equivalent  experience  required.  MBA  in  business,  marketing  or  a  related  discipline  preferred.     • Three   to   eight   years   related   experience   in   product   marketing   for   an   industrial   product   or   related   experience  

required.    Oilfield  experience  preferred.      

• Exceptional  written,  verbal  and  presentation  skills.  

• Ability   to   solicit   customer   and   distributor   feedback   along   with   competitive   intelligence   to   formulate   actionable   information  for  product  positioning,  messaging  and  direction.  

• Excellent  communication  skills  in  English  required.    Fluency  in  multiple  languages  desired.   • Outstanding  communication  skills  including  turning  complex  ideas  into  simple  messages.   • Proven  ability  to  work  collaboratively  with  cross-­‐functional  teams.  

• Demonstrated  proficiency  in  MS  Office  Suite  products.   • SAP  experience  helpful

International  Sales  Manager

international  business.    

POSITION  DESCRIPTION:    

 

We  are  currently  searching  for  an  International  Sales  Manager  who  will  have  full  responsibility  for  leading  our   international  sales  team  in  selling  finished  products  to  customers  through  multiple  sales  and  distribution  channels.     This  position  reports  directly  to  the  Company  President  and  will  play  a  key  role  in  expanding  our  sales  into  new   markets.  

 

PRIMARY  DUTIES  AND  RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Lead,  educate  and  mentor  a  high  performing  team  selling  our  products  through  distributors  and  sales  partners   • Coordinate  development  of  regional  sales  forecasts,  strategies,  advertising  and  promotional  programs  

• Achieve  aggressive  sales  goals  while  driving  a  profitable  mix  of  products  

• Provide   feedback   on   customers,   product   ideas,   market   opportunities,   competitors,   and   industry   trends   for   marketing,  operations,  and  production  as  a  member  of  the  company’s  senior  leadership  team  

• Conduct  effective  voice  of  the  customer  to  understand  technical,  management  and  decision  making  needs   • Locate   or   propose   potential   business   deals   by   contacting   potential   partners,   discovering   and   exploring  

opportunities  

• Assess   potential   business   deals   by   analyzing   market   strategies,   deal   requirements,   potential,   and   financials;   evaluating  options;  resolving  internal  priorities,  etc.  

• Cultivate  relationships  with  distributors  and  end  users  

• Review  market  analyses  to  determine  customer  needs,  volume  potential,  price  schedules,  and  discount  rates   • Review  material  margin  quarterly  by  sales  code  and  make  recommendations  for  changes  in  current  pricing   • Communicate  and  resolve  issues  with  product  quality,  performance,  service  and  applications  

• Represent  the  Company  at  trade  shows,  trade  organization  meetings  and  other  industry  related  events  

• Develop  sufficient  technical  knowledge  of  products  by  working  with  the  R&D  Manager  to  be  able  to  converse  with   customers  on  technical  issues  

• Direct  staffing,  training  and  performance  evaluations  to  maximize  performance  in  the  region  

• Responsible   for   coaching   for   results,   identifying   areas   needed   for   development   and   providing   resources   for   individuals  to  be  successful  

 

REQUIREMENTS:      

• At   least   three   years   of   experience   in   the   oil   and   gas   or   industrial   lubricants   industries,   at   least   five   years   of   international  sales  management  experience  highly  preferred    

• Proven  history  of  building  sales  though  development  of  a  world  class  sales  team   • Strong  working  knowledge  of  drilling,  casing  and  tubing  joints  and  connections   • Excellent  communication  and  interpersonal  skills  

• Bachelor’s  degree  or  equivalent  experience  

• Experience  managing  distributor  networks  preferred  

• Good  computer  skills  including  MS  Excel,  MS  Word  and  PowerPoint   • Ability  to  travel  domestically  and  internationally  between  25%  and  50%

POSITION  DESCRIPTION:    

 

We   are   currently   searching   for   an   outside   International   Sales   Representative   who   will   have   full   responsibility   for   leading  our  international  sales  in  the  Latin  American  region  by  selling  finished  products  to  customers  through  multiple   sales   and   distribution   channels.     This   position   reports   directly   to   the   Sales   Manager   and   will   play   a   key   role   in   expanding  our  sales  into  new  markets.  

 

PRIMARY  DUTIES  AND  RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Sell  our  products  through  distributors  and  sales  partners  using  a  consultative  sales  approach  

• Coordinate  development  of  regional  sales  forecasts,  strategies,  advertising  and  promotional  programs   • Achieve  aggressive  sales  goals  while  driving  a  profitable  mix  of  products

international  business.    

POSITION  DESCRIPTION:    

 

We   are   currently   in   need   of   a Technical   Sales   Engineer   that   influences   the   market   and   customers   by   educating,   problem   solving,   and   communicating   technical   application   and   product   knowledge   to   the   customer   thereby   assisting   them   in   applying   Bestolife   products   to   their   needs.   This   role   will   spend   a   significant   amount   of   time   working   with   major   companies   around   the   world   to   qualify   our   products   on   various   connection   types   and   application   situations.     In   addition,   the   position   provides   input   and   participates  in  the  technical  development  of  new  products  or  applications.    

 

PRIMARY  DUTIES  AND  RESPONSIBILITIES:      

• Provides   technical   advice   and   supports   the   business   development,   sales   and   marketing   activities   regarding  the  adoption  of  Bestolife  products  and  solutions.    

• Qualifies  Bestolife  thread  compounds  with  major  oil  companies,  connection  manufacturers,  OCTG   mills,  drilling  companies  and  other  specifiers  

• Makes  sales  contacts,  researches  customer  needs  and  develops  applications  of  Bestolife  products  to   satisfy  customer  needs.    

• Highlights  the  technical  benefits  of  Bestolife  products  and  solutions  compared  to  competitors'.   • Develops  and  delivers  technical  sales  presentations  and  closes  sales.    

• Provides  customers  with  information  related  to  products  and  issue  resolutions.  

• Participates  in  development  of  new  products,  modification  of  existing  products  and  termination  of   ineffective  products.    

• Participates  in  sales  forecasting  and  planning.    

• Acts  as  subject  matter  expert  for  the  industry  including  competitor  product  offerings  and  market   strategies.  

• Develops  and  maintains  communications  in  a  cooperative  and  professional  manner  with  all  levels   of  staff  and  customers  using  established  guidelines.    

• Provides  voice  of  the  customer  strategic  feedback  for  new  or  improved  products  and  applications   for  organization's  products,  while  working  with  R&D  and  Commercial  team.  

• Participates  in  industry  associations,  functions,  trade  shows,  and  conferences.   • Other  duties  as  assigned.  

 

PRE-­‐HIRE  REQUIREMENTS:      

 

• College  degree  desired,  engineering  /  technical  emphasis  preferred,  or  equivalent  experience.     • Experience   with   threaded   connections   preferred.     Experience   testing   and   qualifying   connections  

and  thread  compounds  highly  desired.  

• Minimum  5  years  sales  and/or  technical  sales  support  experience  preferred.       • Strong  business  communication  skills.  

• Proven  problem  solving,  hands  on  approach,  and  solution  focused  skills  are  essential  to  this   position.
