Artistic Legion

Vision Statement

Students in the Artistic Legion will unite in developing and promoting their expressive, creative, and

performing talents to accomplish academic abilities, create positive relationships within the high

school community, and open post-high school opportunities.

Information about Layton High School

Layton High is a public high school located in Layton, Utah with students in grades 10 through 12. Layton High is one of the two high schools in Layton and one of the nine high schools in the Davis School District. Layton is a city of approximately 62,000 residents nestled between the Wasatch Mountains on the East and the Great Salt Lake on the West. Layton is twenty-five miles north of Salt Lake City and Layton High has been fully accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges since 1972.

Vision Statement

Business Legion students foster positive relationships within the school and the business community,

promote academic excellence, and cultivate the communication and technical skills necessary to

successfully compete in and contribute to the global economy.

Scientific Legion

Vision Statement

The Scientific Legion at Layton High School will arouse a student’s interest to acquire knowledge in

science learning; provide a variety of learning experiences; and cultivate skills, talents, and abilities,

which lead to careers in science. Participation in the legion will develop student’s thirst for lifelong

science learning and provide students with the ability to compete successfully in today’s world.

The Layton High School Technical Legion recognizes the rapid advances in technology and the critical

role of technology in society. We are committed to the preparation of our students, by providing

them with technology resources, skills and knowledge necessary for successful participation in an
