PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Currently, the Collaborative has three portfolios: Strategic Technologies, Campus

Applications and Hardware. Within these portfolios are various levels that illustrate the

nature of the relationship between SunGard Higher Education and the member.

Coming Summer 2011 – SunGard Higher Education will be introducing simplified,

restructured Collaborative program categories

Strategic Technologies

SunGard Higher Education has chosen and aligned with a few key software

vendors in this category to provide core or underlying functionality for its

own products. SunGard Higher Education products run with or on top of the

products in this category. The Strategic Technologies portfolio contains one

level of relationship.

Campus Applications

Members in the Campus Applications portfolio deliver value-added applications that extend,

enhance and/or integrate with SunGard Higher Education’s software solutions to create

integrated digital campus environments for higher education institutions. Members in this

category may also provide communication, network, system administration and other tools

that assist IT departments optimize their back office application deployments, increase

productivity, and enhance application performance.

Collaborative Member

To be a Collaborative Member, a company must:

• Have a Higher Education focus

• Have 20 mutual customers with SunGard Higher Education

• Have at least 10 referenceable higher education customers

• Offer software products that extend or enhance SunGard Higher

Education products

• Members may have existing interfaces to SunGard Higher Education

products. Those interfaces are developed, maintained, and supported

only by those Members.

Collaborative Advanced Member

In addition to meeting the Collaborative Member requirements, a

Collaborative Advanced member must:

• Complete Advanced level application process

• Have 40 mutual customers with SunGard Higher Education

• Have 15 referenceable higher education customers

• Have successfully implemented integrations at 10 customer sites

Collaborative Select Member

The Collaborative Select level is by invitation only. In addition to meeting

the Advanced criteria, a company must:

• Have a proven track record with SunGard Higher Education and our

customers

Hardware Portfolio

Members in the Hardware portfolio provide the hardware and operating systems that give

customers the flexibility to implement their SunGard Higher Education solutions in

environments that achieve low total cost of ownership and improve operational efficiency.

Supported Platform Member

The Supported Platform level for hardware companies is by invitation only.

Additional requirements include:

• A proven track record for engaging in the field successfully with

SunGard Higher Education sales and services organizations

• Ability to engage with SunGard Higher Education worldwide to drive

new revenue

Reference Platform Member

Reference Platform membership is by invitation only. Members designated

as Reference Platform are market leaders who have made significant

business and technical commitments to SunGard Higher Education and the

higher education community at large. Furthermore, SGHE Solutions

Development organization uses Reference Platform technologies to develop

and test various SunGard Higher Education solutions. Additional

requirements include:

• Joint planning and development of partner business plan

• Equipment support for the Digital Campus Test Center

Collaborative members who provide tested and approved integration compatibility with

SunGard Higher Education solutions earn integration certification. You can identify certified

partners by their certification “badge,” which indicates what products they have been

certified for. Look for certified partners badges next to the partner descriptions that appear

on the Partner Information Community on the Commons

(http://www.edu1world.org/CommonsPartners/) and in the Collaborative Catalog.

Descriptions also contain specific information about the version(s) certified with the

integration.
