KIP is pleased to announce the release of KIP Version 8.0.447-02 Software.

New Products

Release Dates

All new KIP systems shipped from March 3, 2015 will include this version of the 8.0

software.

Current Field Placements

Commencing March 3, 2015, KIP models 770, 7170, 7770 and 7970 systems may be

updated to this version 8.0 of software. The update can be downloaded from the KIP

website.

A system restore DVD with an Operators Guide DVD can be ordered if desired. Please see the

following order procedures.

Restore DVD and SOG DVD Ordering Procedure

Please use the attached order form for ordering KIP 8.0 Software field upgrade

packages. There is no charge for the new KIP 8.0software DVD and SOG, although

shipping and handling charges will apply.

The following pages are the Release Notes which describe the new features, benefits and

fixes provided by this new software update. Please read these notes to become familiar with

these new features.

The following information is a summary of new features, functionality and technical notes of the

KIP software version 8.0.447-02

KIP MULTI-TOUCH SCREEN SOFTWARE

Enhancements:

1. Added notification to status bar if Job Queue has been PAUSED

Resolved topics:

1. Resolved issues with Russian localizations

2. Fixed issue of when queue is paused and timer resets the job would print

3. Fixed issue of media type being inaccurate when recalling a job in File to Print

4. Resolved issue of Scanner status not updating after entering Accounting menu

5. Corrected issue when setting despeckle to off as default, it will active again after

timer reset

6. Fixed OneDrive issues in Japanese and using a Japanese account (.jp)

7. Addressed issue of Color Scan to File not naming correctly when creating a

multi-page file

8. Resolved issue of getting Disk Use Maximum error when using Scan to SMB

KIP PRINT

Enhancement:

1. Added support for IPv6

Resolved these following concerns:

1. Fixed issue with stamp file shutting down KIP Print

2. Resolved issue of KIP Print shutting down when browsing to a network folder that

you do not have access rights to

3. Addressed issue of KIP Print pausing when applying force size to many pages

1. Corrected issue of repeated image when copying to 11" or smaller using Auto

2. Resolved printing issues when sending .cals files via LPR

custom page size

Important: Please complete the information below before submitting your KIP 8.0 upgrade request. Due to copyright and license agreement laws, the IPS number must be supplied with the KIP printer serial number. The printer serial number is found on the lower back of the printer.

The IPS identification number can be found on the IPS unit. Both the Serial Number & IPS Number can also be found in the Service Mode

Screen on the touch panel. This form can only be used when ordering the upgrade for an IPS based controller. During the upgrade hard

drive imaging process, all data and files will be deleted. Please make sure all data, including the log data, is backed up prior to initiating the upgrade process. KIP is not responsible for any lost data. A DVD drive/reader is required for installation and complete upgrade instructions

are included on each DVD.KIP 8.0 upgrade DVD’s may be programmed to be interchangeable with KIP IPS System requested below.
