In accordance with Purchasing Code Section 102-384, after conducting a good faith review, and the Purchasing Department has determined that there is only one source available for the required supply, service, or construction item, the request shall be forwarded to the Board of Commissioners for approval.

The Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System requests approval to continue providing GED testing through its partnership with the Technical College of Georgia and the Atlanta Public School System. The Technical College of Georgia has discontinued paper test at all testing sites, and entered into an exclusive agreement with Pearson Vue to deliver tests via Internet on-line software. The Library will receive a portion of the test fees paid by students as compensation for providing a testing site.

decision to continue using the GED® test as the authorized high school equivalency exam for the state of Georgia. Therefore, as an authorized site for GED testing, the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library is bound to use the exclusive computer base system of delivery defined by GED Testing Service® with PearsonVUE
as the sole source provider.
