PR & Social Media Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a candidate with 3+ years' experience working with multiple brands spanning different industries in the social media marketing space. We're looking for a highly organized, strong communicator, client-facing, rock-star that bleeds social media marketing. You should have several examples of campaigns you have created along with statistics regarding how well the campaign worked. You will also be responsible for managing, training, and motivating a team

dedicated to social media marketing.

Candidate will oversee Social Media campaigns which include but are not limited to: research, campaign & content creation, execution, monitoring and reporting. You will also create public relations opportunities for the company relating to new business, news and successes with the goal of the company being known as a resource and influencer in the online marketing field.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work directly with clients to create a social media strategy that collaborates with marketing, PR and advertising campaigns

• Research top influencers, competitors, and trends in clients' industries

• Create timely and engaging content optimized for platform used and intended audience

• Monitor sites for customer service opportunities and initiate conversations on behalf of the client

• Be happy, smile, and bring a positive attitude to the office (bringing yummy treats to the office is always a bonus too)

• Analyze and report social media actions on a monthly basis for successes and new opportunities

• Create engaging and professional visuals that reflect client and their brand (Customize social media pages (ex. Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube), develop supporting offline collateral, create original content, etc)

• Stay current with social media trends and tools – includes attending networking and educational events, reading blogs, and listening to podcasts

• Manage social media team members' (includes interns) responsibilities, conduct team meetings, advise on projects, and motivate team members.

• Continue to refine and define our social marketing process

• Work with team to create a solid branding message that's reflected across marketing materials, social media content and shared by employees Public Relations (PR) Responsibilities :

• Identify and develop opportunities and PR connections for Atomic to be used as a resource for public relations (print, online, speaking, consulting)

• Write and schedule press releases based on the company’s achievements, new clients, client news and employee achievements

We referenced their report and adjusted based on the market and overall landscape of the talent available.

Key Questions to Ask

There is a misconception that because someone spends time on Facebook or may have managed a company’s social marketing efforts that qualifies them as an expert, this is far from accurate. Be sure to ask these questions when

interviewing your prospects to separate the shining superstars from the burned out bulbs.

How did you measure campaign successes?

Look for data-driven answers that specifically tracked measurable results and quantifiable goals beyond number of fans / followers.

Give two examples of campaigns you created.

Look for two unique ideas that align with specific company goals – make sure they are not a one-trick pony.

How did you get internal staff participation?

Look for responses that include training and cross-department participation. Also any incentive programs created to encourage?

Describe your biggest campaign wins?

They should be able to talk about the specific results and outcomes (ie. More sales, reduced costs, etc) and talk about the cost to implement.

How did you expedite answers & ideas?

Clients can take too long to respond to requests, how did they assist them in a timely manner and did they develop calendars to work from with suggested related topics?
