Project Leeghwater

In cooperation with the Dutch Wind Energy

Association (NWEA), the TKI Wind op Zee aims

for the realization of a demonstration wind farm

to implement, test and demonstrate Dutch

innovations.

Jan Adriaanszoon Leeghwater (1575-1650) was a

Dutch architect, mill builder and hydraulic engineer.

He was pivotal to land reclamation programs along

the flooded coast of the Netherlands and involved in

the reclamation of the Beemster, Purmer and
