Benefits Plus Checking** – Great checking,

plus value-added benefits such as Free Identity Theft Protection, discounts on travel, dining and entertainment discounts, cash-back rewards on online purchases, and much more for a low monthly fee of just $5 ($4 for members age 50 and over). *The highest dividend, 1.50% APY (Annual Percentage Yield) as of 11/1/12, will be paid on balances up to $25,000 when all account requirements have been met. Account will pay .05% APY on balances greater than $25,000 and on the entire balance if all WOW Checking! requirements are not met. Dividends are compounded and credited monthly. The dividend rate is variable and subject to change without notice. Receive up to $25 in total ATM fee reimbursements each month on your WOW Checking!, including fees from other financial

institutions, when all account requirements are met, and when individual

ATM fees are not over $4.99 per transaction. ATM fees are credited at the end of the month. To qualify you must have a minimum single $200 direct deposit into your WOW Checking! each month, have a valid

email address, receive eStatements, perform at least one online banking

transaction, and make 15 Debit Card point-of-sale, credit or debit, transactions, which must be transmitted by the merchant and posted by close of business on the last business day of each month. Your account is insured up to $250,000. Must credit qualify.

It was more than ten years ago when Seven Seventeen launched the STAR Member Rewards™ program designed

to reward members for their participation in the financial

cooperative that is their credit union. In listening to member comments that our STAR Member Rewards™

program had grown to become too complicated, we

took our own advice to simplify. The STAR Member Rewards™ program will be replaced on January 1, 2013, with the Simply Rewarding Member Rewards Program. The simplified member rewards program takes the STAR Member Rewards™ program benefits that

members indicated were most valuable and places them into a much simpler program that will be simply rewarding.

As with the STAR Member Rewards™program, the Simply Rewarding program will be based on combined household deposit and loan balances. Rewards will focus on saving members money on loans, increasing rates on certificates, and reducing overdraft transfer fees. Reward levels start at $10,000 in total household combined loan and deposit

balances.

Simply Rewarding

Program Bonuses:

• Any household with a mortgage loan that is sold to a third party will automatically have members of their household remain at the Premium Rewards level for a period of seven years.

• Any relationship with Seven Seventeen Investment & Trust Services gives all household members a one reward level bump. Example: A Household with less than $10,000 in combined Seven Seventeen deposit and loan

balances, that has a Seven Seventeen Investment & Trust Services relationship, will be placed at the Primary Rewards Level.

The simplification and transition to the Simply Rewarding program will provide reductions of some fees. A copy of the Service Charge Schedule, effective January 1, 2013, was mailed with your September 2012 statement or can be

viewed at www.sscu.net/downloads.

• The $2.00 monthly service fee, under the STAR Member Rewards™ program, for households with less than $5,000 in total balances is being eliminated.

• The $3.00 fee for Electronic Funds Transfer (ACH) Origination is being eliminated. • The current fee on Stop Payments is being reduced by $5.00.

• The Corporate Check re-issue fee is being cut in half to $10.00.

• The only fee that will be increasing is the fee for Corporate Checks over $500, which will be $5.00. However, the average fee charged by local banks for the same service is more than $7.00.

A $3.00 monthly service fee for members of households with less than $1,000 in total combined deposits and loans will remain, but can be waived. Read below for more information.

Ways to avoid the $3.00 monthly service fee:

• The monthly service fee is waived if your household balances are $1,000 or more in combined deposits and

loans.

• The monthly service fee is waived if at least one checking account in your household is active. An “active” checking account is defined as 10 or more transactions per month.

• The monthly service fee is waived for six months for new members to allow time to grow relationships and to

transfer accounts from other financial institutions.

• The monthly service fee is waived if you have an insurance or investment relationship with Seven Seventeen Investment & Trust Services.

• Monthly service fee is waived for all members under age 26.

• Monthly service fee is waived for one year if a member is active military with proper documentation. • Members may submit an application to avoid the monthly service fee, if you meet certain requirements: Household income is $30,000 or less, members must have direct deposit, and have or sign-up for

eStatements.

We’re pleased to announce an update to our survey program that includes a new look. The updated survey is called You really count! As before,

randomly chosen members will receive either a paper survey in the mail or an email with a link to our online survey. While many members will receive a survey through the mail, email is the easiest, quickest, and most cost-effective way for us to provide a survey to you and for you to provide us your valuable

feedback. If you haven’t done so recently, we encourage you to provide us

your current email address.

The You really count! survey program will be conducted by Support Financial Resources on behalf of Seven Seventeen. Support Financial Resources does not use survey data collected for any other purpose. The survey data obtained by Seven Seventeen is held in strictest confidence, according to the credit union’s privacy policy. To review this policy, please visit www.sscu.net, or write to the credit union.

As an extension of our Simplify & Save program, we are introducing Refi My Auto, a no-cost program for members to find out if Seven Seventeen can save them money. After all, helping members save money is one of the main goals of the Simplify & Save program.

If you are a member that has a vehicle loan at another financial institution, we’ve set up a secure website, www.sscu.net/refimyauto,

so you can find out if Seven Seventeen can save you money by refinancing that loan. It only take a few minutes to complete the online form, and simply put, we can save you money by reducing your interest payments or we can’t – either way, we’ll let you know. Plus, it’s free to find out if you can save money!

There are only a few short steps you need complete:

1. Go to www.sscu.net/refimyauto.

2. Answer a few questions about the vehicle loan you have at another

financial institution and hit submit.

3. We’ll carefully review your information and send you an email within two business days letting you know if we can save you money by reducing your interest payment. If we can’t, we’ll let you know that too. The Refi My Auto program is found exclusively online. Remember: if your email says we can save you money, don’t delay in contacting us. The sooner we can refinance your vehicle loan, the sooner you will start saving!

Seven Seventeen cares deeply about keeping your money safe while providing you with easy access to your accounts. With our online and mobile banking products, we have always focused on providing the most up-to-date security features. As such, we will be making some minor changes to our security protocols to ensure best practices and meet

government mandated guidelines that will be required of all financial service providers in the near future.

What are the changes?

There are two key changes that we are asking you to complete by December 31, 2012:

1. To ensure that your login is as strong and secure as possible, your User ID cannot be made up of only numbers.

Coming in January 2013, your User ID must be: • At least six characters long

• Must contain both letters and numbers, and

• Use at least one of the following special characters: @ $ * _ - = . ! ~

If your current login does not meet these upgraded minimum requirements in January, you will be prompted to create a new User ID and/or password. A lot of our members have already taken advantage of making their User ID stronger; however, if you have previously used your account number for your User ID, you will need to create a new, stronger ID, as outlined above.

2. Also in January, we are implementing a new requirement to verify your identity by phone when you log in. After providing your new, strong User ID and password, you will be asked to provide a phone number for either a mobile phone or a land line. You can enter up to two phone numbers. We will immediately send an access code to your phone (via voice or text message) that you will enter into your computer to complete your login. Many members have already used this method to receive their access code, and it is very fast. The option to receive your access code through email is still available; however, obtaining the access code by voice or text is the most secure way to gain access to your accounts online.

Is there anything you can do now?

If your User ID does not currently meet the new standards, please update your information now to the new standards (go to the “Change User ID” section on the User Options page of NetWorth24 Online Banking). If you do not complete the update before the security upgrade goes live in January, then you will be asked to update this information at that time. At that time, you also must have a phone handy and provide the phone number to receive your access code.

When will the upgrades take place?

The security upgrade will take place in January 2013. Additional information will be communicated in the near

future. Please watch your email and log on to www.sscu.net/onlinebanking regularly for the latest updates related to NetWorth24.

Convenient and secure: Your Seven Seventeen VISA® Debit Card looks like a credit card, but works like a check. When you use your debit card to make a purchase, the amount will be deducted directly from your checking account, while maintaining the convenience and security protections provided by VISA. Plus, you don’t need to carry large amounts of cash.

No check writing: A debit card can be used for purchases where you shop, such as stores, online, and by phone, so there is no need to write checks. In addition, you save money because a debit card reduces the number of checks you’ll need to reorder because you’ll use less of them.

Cash back2: When using your debit card for store purchases, many merchants allow you to receive cash back at no extra charge.

VISA’s zero liability policy3: If your debit card is lost or stolen, you are protected from unauthorized, non-PIN transactions.

Debit Card Rewards4: All Seven Seventeen Debit Cards are automatically enrolled in the Debit Card Rewards program earning you reward points every time you process your payment as a credit and sign for a purchase. You can even combine your Seven Seventeen VISA Debit Card Reward points and Seven Seventeen Credit Card ScoreCard points so they accumulate faster. standard debit card design.

Medical Care Employees Federal Credit Union (MCEFCU) of Youngstown, Ohio, has merged into Seven Seventeen Credit Union, effective November 1, 2012. Medical Care Employees Federal Credit Union had $3,400,000 in assets and served approximately 980 members. All of us at Seven Seventeen would

like to welcome our newest members to our credit

union family, and look forward to helping them meet their financial goals. The merger will provide MCEFCU

members a broad range of products and services, with additional office hours and locations.
