Export Education and Eastern Bridge:

Eastern Bridge’s founder has many years experience in the education sector, starting when he worked in Beijing developing English education television programs. He has been a strong advocate for developing export education in regional New Zealand and Eastern Bridge’s Education specific service are designed to provide cost efficient and easy to use services for schools to attract foreign students.

Why Promote Export Education

Export Education is a very important sector which can bring multiple benefits to a school and its surrounding community. There is an economic benefit, the students pay international student fees which benefit the host school. The student also pays for accommodation and spends in the local community. Aside from economic benefits the student also contributes to greater diversity within the community. They bring new ideas and perspectives which can enhance and open the minds of our local students. Connections are built and friendships are established which over time helps to greater connect New Zealand with the rest of the world.

Trade and Eastern Bridge:

Exporting is very important for New Zealand but due to our distance and the relatively high cost for small manufacturers to visit and explore markets it can be a challenge. Eastern Bridge provide assistance to businesses wanting to reach out to Asia. Our trade advisor is a former Trade Commissioner, and Regional Director of North East Asia for new Zealand Trade and Enterprise.

What market suites you?

There are a range of exciting markets across Asia which offer a range of opportunities for New Zealand businesses. While China is a very important market with a massive consumer base it isn’t always the best fit for our boutique producers however knowing where your niche lies is often very difficult to identify.
