CLIENT SPEAK

Sigma is a very professionally run organization that makes the processes of offshore development as easy and

efficient as it can be. They have very high quality talent that are able to deliver quality meeting our tough

standards. The relationship with sigma has enabled us to cost effectively expand our resource pool and bring our product to market faster and with a more complete user experience.

- Erik Hogan, Director-Product Management, Attributor Corporation, Redwood City, USA

Sigma Infosolutions undertook to learn our complex requirements, document them, engineer and code according to our requests. The company delivered remarkable results given the aggressive time constraints we faced. They understood how to interpret our vague requirements and generate outstanding results. We are grateful to have found Sigma to work with as a trusted advisor. I will not hesitate to leverage their outstanding design and coding skills as we move forward with our visualization and Java requirements

- Mike McGonigal, Exsalgo Corp., USA

Overall Sigma Infosolutions is a great contractor with lots of talented programmers and project managers.

- Daniel Schreck, Founder, Vayam LLC, Texas, USA

CASE STUDY: Product Engineering

Client

Summary

Client envisioned building a portal which will offer Health Risk Assessments (HRA), Specialty labs, professional consultations, automated self-management tools, access to high quality nutraceuticals, managing personal health documents and records, and participation in community discussions, interest groups, an on-line store, and blogs. Client will offer

complementary educational services to the public upon registering (visitors), and wellness self-management, premium health services & monitoring tools to paying customers

(members). The services are deployed on a SAAS model.

Client provides complete personalized health and wellness experience to their customers (large corporations in the US) and their employees on a single platform. Client is based out of Southern California.

Technology

Solution

Sigma Infosolutions developed the portal solution with the following sub-systems: o An online portal for end-user public information, user dashboards. The online portal comprises end-user portal views and a portal backend server.

o A Transitory Server (was co-located initially on the same physical server as the portal sever) that acts as a proxy for getting 3rd party health risk assessment (HRA) service providers data for end users. This data is cached by transitory server for portal users for performance and ease of availability. User data was encrypted in observance of HIPAA security and privacy regulations.

o Developed a tool for client component for deployment as part of end-user portal. This component would interface with backend and application server via web services API interfaces. The portal has both online and offline access capabilities.

CASE STUDY: Mobile App to Capture and Share Videos

Summary

Technology

Solution

Sigma Infosolutions have built apple streaming solution HLS ( HTTP Live Streaming) along with adaptive bit rate implementation for streaming videos to the mobile devices.

Multiple short videos will be encoded in the backend to a standard size which gets stitched and the user can see multiple short clips as one single channel. User can now create, share number of channels, mark them private/ public.

Sigma Infosolutions also built the web application where the users can watch all their stitched video channels in a bigger screen.

Client provides solutions that helps users tell stories with short video clips and allows

sharing videos privately and even broadcast them, Client is based out of New York. We built a robust back-end solution which could stich and stream videos, intelligent enough to read the bandwidth at the mobile client-end and pick up either low or high bit rate streams and render the same in the client application along with the api server. A custom video player has been designed to meet specific needs of this application. This application is being built for iOS as well as web version. This app would hit the app store by mid March 2013.
