University

Executive Council Meetings

Representatives are generated via vote by each department in accordance with places in university executive council meetings allocated to each department by the college. Allocation of places in university executive council meetings depends on numbers of seats assigned to the college. Each department/institute shall select one representative and the remaining places are served based on a rotation between Departments/Institutes of Physics, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, and Applied Mathematics.

University Faculty Evaluation

Committee

1. Faculty members of the Departments/Institutes of Physics, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Sciences, as well as Medical Science and Technology take turns to serve in the committee.

2. The responsible department/institute shall nominate (at least two) candidates among faculty members who serve in the College Faculty Evaluation Committee for a vote by faculty members with positions of assistant professors or above. In the case of only one candidate being produced due to any factors such as gender constraint, the said candidate shall directly act as the representative.

One Year

The member representatives shall be professors—one male and one female. One

representative shall be re-selected every year.

University R&D Evaluation Committee

1. Faculty members of the Departments/Institutes of Chemistry, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, as well as Medical Science and Technology take turns to serve in the committee.

2. The two responsible departments/institutes shall each select one representative.

One Year

Member representatives shall be professor representatives in meetings of University Executive Council (associate professors and assistant professors not included). 4

Vehicle Management Committee

Faculty members of the Departments/Institutes of Biological Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biomedical Sciences, as well as Medical Science and Technology take turns to serve in the committee.

Committee

Faculty members of the Departments/Institutes of Chemistry, Physics, Biological Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Science and Technology take turns to serve in the committee.

Committee 1

The member shall be selected among College Course Committee members and who is a current (previous) chairman of

departments/institutes.

Two Years

The college has two

representatives (who shall be current or previous chairmen of department/institute). One of the representatives shall be re-selected every year. The term of service is two years, the same as the term of a Center for General Education Course Committee member. The representatives of the committee are

simultaneously members of the Center for General Education Course Committee.

Student Journal Advisory Committee

1

Faculty members of the Departments/Institutes of Physics, Biological Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Chemistry, Biomedical Sciences, as well as Medical Science and Technology take turns to serve in the committee.

University Faculty Member Appeal Appraisal Committee

Faculty members of the Departments/Institutes of Chemistry, Physics, Biological Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Sciences, as well as Medical Science and Technology take turns to serve in the committee.

Two Years

The member of the Appeal Committee shall not at the same time act as a member of the University Administrative or Faculty Evaluation Committee 11 General Affairs

Funds Examination Committee

Faculty members of the Departments/Institutes of Chemistry, Physics, Biological Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Sciences, as well as Medical Science and Technology take turns to serve in the committee.

One Year

Member representatives shall be representatives of University Executive Council Meetings, but shall not at the same time serve as members of University Endowment Fund Management Committee, and shall not be relevant staff members of

general affairs and accounting of the university.

13 Student Affairs

Meeting 2

Faculty members of the Departments/Institutes of Biological Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biomedical Sciences, as well as Medical Science and Technology take turns to serve in the committee.

One Year

The representatives shall at the same time act as representatives of Student Emergency Relief Examination Committee.

Student Appeal Appraisal Committee

Faculty members of the Departments/Institutes of Chemistry, Physics, Biological Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Sciences, as well as Medical Science and Technology take turns to serve in the committee.

One Year

1. The representative shall serve in part-time

administrative positions. 2. The present members of

Student Affair Meeting shall not be members of the committee.

Meeting 1

Faculty members of the Departments/Institutes of Chemistry, Physics, Biological Sciences, Applied Mathematics, Biomedical Sciences, as well as Medical Science and Technology take turns to serve in the committee.

Faculty representatives shall not be ex officio members of the committee.

23 College General Meetings

1. Academic heads are ex officio representatives. 2. Faculty members are recommended by each

department/institute. One of four faculty members with positions above assistant professors other than the ex officio representatives are selected as the remaining representatives (the number of representatives is rounded up to the nearest whole number).

3. Each department/institute has one student representative recommended by each department/institute.

4. One staff and one teaching assistant representatives are

determined by votes among the staff and teaching assistants of the college.

College Faculty Evaluation Committee

1. Every chairman of departments/institutes is ex officio representative.

2. The Departments of Chemistry, Physics, Biological Sciences, and Applied Mathematics shall each select two professors as representatives; independent institutes shall each select one representative.

Members of the College Faculty Evaluation Committee act as representatives.

1. Each department/institute select one faculty member as representative.

2. Two members from outside the college (appointed by the dean of the college).

The members may not serve part-time positions in administrative or faculty evaluation committees.

1. Chairmen of departments, institutes, and programs are ex officio representatives.

2. Each department/institute shall select one representative with a position above assistant professor.

3. One expert/scholar from outside the university (determined through discussion in College Course Committee).
