Vodafone Red Sharer enables you to make the most of your employees’ UK data allowances by pooling them. Vodafone Red Sharer enables you to take the UK data allowances of all your employees’ plans and put them together in a single ‘pool’ that you can all use. If necessary, you can buy additional data allowance for your pool, to ensure you have enough to avoid charges outside of your plan. You can even set limits and manage users’ access. Vodafone Red Sharer provides worry-free access and control beyond data, with unlimited UK calls and UK texts for all your employees, all in one simple package with a single monthly bill. We’ll text you with updates telling you how much data has been used, with an opportunity for you to add more when needed.

Your pooled data can be shared with as many of your colleagues as you like when they’re on the move in the UK, and with their tablets and dongles too. We’ll keep you updated on your usage by text and give you the opportunity to add more whenever you want.

And to ensure your customers can always reach you, you can get a virtual landline number that goes straight to your mobile by adding One Net Express to your Red Sharer plan for a small additional cost.

Easy to manage

We’ll send you real-time text messages keeping you informed about how much data you’ve used, plus you can request an update at any time by text. And although your data is shared, it’s up to you how much each of your team use – you can set individual limits and caps if necessary. We also enable you to control your team’s data usage by times of the day and night and by location. By managing your data consumption more efficiently you can avoid out-of-plan charges while ensuring your team stay connected and are able to collaborate effectively.

How might a Red Sharer plan work for you?

In this example, the customer has six people on a Red Sharer plan giving a total of 11GB shared UK Internet data. We call this a sharing group. Within the group you can have a mixture of 3G and 4G mobiles, tablets, MiFi or dongles.

Each group needs a Lead member who will manage the group data pool, notifications and billing. You can also nominate a Deputy member for times when your Lead member isn’t available.

Message description

Data pool usage message: Sent to you at 80% & 100% of your data pool usage. To stop these alerts text STOP to 40506. Out-of-plan step message: Sent at 80% & 100% of your out-of-plan usage. Out-out-of-plan charges are calculated in steps of 250MB. To stop these alerts text STOP to 40506.

Members’ threshold limit message: Sent when your members’ data usage has reached 80% & 100% of your limit. To get these messages you’ll need to set your threshold limit during initial set up of your account or by calling our customer services on 191.

Pool usage query: To find out how much data your group has left, text ‘INTERNETBALANCE’ to 40506 any time. Pool update message: Confirming when you’ve added additional data or members.

Lead member change message: If you change your Lead member (by calling our customer services on 191), we’ll confirm the change with a message to your old Lead member and current Deputy.

BAR message: If you receive a 100% members’ threshold limit message, your Lead member has the option to bar members from internet usage for the remainder of the billing month. Simply text ‘BAR INTERNET’ to 40506. This bar will be removed automatically at the beginning of the next billing month.

Member UNBAR message: To remove the data bar before the end of the billing month, text ‘UNBAR INTERNET’ to 40506. A message will also be sent to your members to update them.

Additional data messages: When your data usage has reached 80% of your initial monthly allowance we will ask you if you want to add more data to your pool. You can respond to this message by texting ‘ACCEPT’ to 40506. (Note: We will only send one additional data message each month and then send the normal data pool usage messages as described above.)

STOP Messages: To opt out of some message notifications you can text ‘STOP’ to 40506. This feature will be presented when you receive notifications related to pool usage. (Note that messages related to roaming usage will also be suppressed if you choose this option.)
