Output Voltage Classification 2/2

Main challenge for ECO mode is low-impedance grid failures e.g. grid short-circuits or

loss of utility where UPS input is pulled low by other large upstream loads.

Classical ECO mode typically results in loss output voltage for up to one half cycle due

to unwanted conduction of bypass SCR’s from UPS output back into the shorted grid.

ECOnversion use a novel control method of inverter and bypass SCR’s resulting in

almost no drop of output voltage, also under low-impedance grid failure.
