As of the date of this document that functionality is not currently available. The Enterprise Messaging Team is currently testing an OWA plug-in that will enable this functionality.
Can I open files or folders using links embedded in a message?
If you are connected to OWA over a public network such as the Internet or kiosk, you will not be able to open links that directs you to the Chevron internal servers, such as Chevron internal web sites (e.g., TEA web site). You will only have access to files stored on your Exchange server. Corporate security policies do not allow access to internal resources from the Internet, since it could increase the risk of security breach.
If you need to access such files, you must use NetGIL or VPN. Once you have established a secure connection to the internal network, you will able to open the embedded links.
