Foundation.

When preparing this report, the author has resorted, in addition of the relevant

bibliographic and documentary sources, to the opinion of numerous people involved in

psychotherapy, including heads of scientific and professionals associations, members of

psychotherapist accreditation committees, professors of psychology and psychiatry,

directors of university psychiatry programs, and psychiatrists and psychologists

qualified in clinical psychotherapy. The opinion extracted for these conversations

enables a reasonably uniform panorama to be constructed, where there are some

contradictions. Even though they are based on outside opinions, to whom all the merit

must be attributed, the following conclusions and ensuing recommendations are the

exclusive responsibility of the author, who issues them, pursuant to his undertaking, in

the most objective and reasonable manner possible, without any consideration for

personal or professional interests.
