reader-friendly budget and encouraging cross-departmental collaboration
as you prepare the budget document.

presentation, setting a high standard for
transparent budget development.
Previous and fi rst-time applicants are
welcome to apply by completing all
four MBA Criteria Checklist sections.
The Pathway to the MBA is an introductory
program that allows school districts to
ease into full MBA compliance while still
recognizing the same quality of budget
presentation standards.
First- and second-time Pathway applicants
are welcome to apply by completing just
two of the four MBA Criteria

The MBA is for applicants who have previously applied for the MBA and for first-time applicants who would like to complete all four sections of the MBA Criteria Checklist. First-time applicants and second-time Pathway applicants
who would like to complete only two sections of the checklist, please use the Pathway to the MBA application.

Please follow these instructions to successfully submit your MBA application. An incomplete application will delay processing. Your MBA application packet must include:

Cover letter specifying any MBA criteria that do not apply to your school district.
MBA Criteria Checklist (mandatory for all applicants).
Reviewer comments from the previous year and your school district’s responses (if applicable).
