Onsite Teaching Facilities
The Edwin M Tooth Auditorium is a large lecture theatre equipped with the latest audio-visual equipment and teleconference facilities to link with other Queensland Health sites. The Auditorium also includes a hearing loop audio system for the hearing impaired. There are two additional seminar rooms equipped with the same technology as the auditorium, meaning that presentations from the Auditorium can be relayed. These rooms can be used independently or can be combined into one large seminar room. The main foyer and terrace provides a social space, with two large plasma screens to view and hear presentations in the Auditorium.
The Centre for Clinical Nursing building provides facilities dedicated for nursing and midwifery education. The well-equipped teaching and learning rooms are found on Level 1, the Workforce Development and Education Unit administration on Level 2 and a clinical practice area primarily used for mandatory training and clinical skills acquisition is located on Level 3. The Nursing Precinct for Nursing and Midwifery Services is also located on Level 1. This area is the primary venue for meetings and professional nursing and midwifery activities.

to provide excellent education facilities to cater for the educational
and training needs of the hospital community. There are 11 formal

The Health Sciences Building has in recent years undergone a major refurbishment, transforming it into a world-class teaching and learning facility. The building now offers space for the School of Medicine, with the Royal Brisbane Clinical School and the School of Nursing and Midwifery occupying the majority of the teaching and learning spaces in the building.
Other occupants of the building include the Centre for Medical Officer Recruitment and Education (CMORE) for the RBWH and the CSIRO e-Health Initiative.
