Optinet™ FLEX advanced practice management software offers an easy to use system that provides all the features you would expect from a modern PMS (please see our full features list), with the addition of features that make it the ideal choice for the modern practice.
A real asset to any practice is the patient communication feature, which not only allows you to send letters, SMS texts, emails and postcards, but it forms a time line for each patient showing what communication you have sent and when. This allows you to move away from just a recall letter every two years, to individualised marketing and the ability to monitor its effects.
A key contact point for your business is the dispensing of spectacles, FLEX makes the dispensing process hassle free with integrated lens catalogues, frame selection from the stock system, multiple pairs per dispense, automatic posting to the till system and more.

Optinet™ FLEX+ helps you take control of your business and enables you to be proactive, rather than reactive. THE HOMESCREEN
The FLEX user journey begins at their ‘Homescreen’, a single interface that draws together key information from the system and displays it in ‘Widgets’. There are different widgets to choose from and each user is free to choose which widgets to show on their homescreen (Patient search, My staff tasks, Collections due, Diary arrivals, Timeline).

Clinical – record the findings of clinical examinations in FLEX. Patient data is stored centrally in electronic format, the benefits of doing this include: patient data is immediately available to other staff members once the examination has concluded e.g. dispensing, data can be easily re-used in reports/referral letters and records are stored in an easily readable and readily available way.
Optisave – the importance of backing up your data can not be stressed enough, with Optisave it is all taken care of automatically. A back up is taken of all your FLEX data each day and stored at a secure data centre, so fully protecting your vital business data. In addition to storing the data Optinet™ monitors the back up process ensuring its working and isn’t corrupted in any way.
ROLE BASED
FLEX is a role based practice management system; this approach to the user experience offers great benefits to practice managers and individual users alike. Managers have the ability to create user groups or ‘Roles’ which in turn can be assigned to staff members. The roles allow system customisation and access and permissions to be granted to groups of users within the practice, e.g. the following can all be set for each role:

CLINICAL RECORDS
Electronic clinical examination records are an essential tool that aide in the collection, recording and recalling of clinical data during the time the patient spends in the consulting room.
The FLEX clinical records module has been designed with the examiner in mind:
Sight Test
4 Examination assessments can be personalised to the user. Choose from hundreds of pre-installed procedures. Organise the workflow to suit the user.
4 A simple drag and drop interface speeds up the collection of data where appropriate, more comprehensive notes can be easily typed where required.
4 The dictionary of common results can be tailored to the user and to each procedure. A global dictionary is also available to all procedures.
4 Store the results of up to 5 different refractions. Refractions can be labelled as the user wishes (i.e. Ret., Last Test, Wearing, Actual and Given Rx).
4 Record all advice given in the notes sections provided: Patient, GP, Dispenser & Exam
4 Create visual notes with clinical sketches, using templates provided.
