Advania Cloud Co-location

The data center is powered by clean, renewable hydroelectric and geother-mal energy sources. This means a unique offer for companies demanding a reliant and cost effective hosting service in a 100% green, zero carbon footprint environment. Long term power agreements are signed with local power suppliers which mean we can predict costs over time and prevent annual price increases.

Advania data center offers an attractive hosting option for companies in Europe and the US

that are looking for high quality, low cost and environmentally friendly data center

facili-ties.

The data center is designed with modular units allowing the data center to be very flexible and supports different customers’ individual needs. Clients who choose to place their equipment and / or data in our data center will take advantage of high availability, both in terms of technology and pure power supplying. In addition to our data center solutions, Advania also pro-vides services such as hardware and software support, networking, storage and logistics.

The data center is an ISO 27001 and ISO9001 certified operation.

Over 44 million users are going through Advania’s

data center every day, of which Opera Software

and Visa are our largest public customers.

For total control over the quality of delivery and availability the data cen-ter is monitored around the clock, all year round in our Network Operating Center (NOC). NOC monitors energy and control systems, network status, and external security such as camera systems, doors, fire and water. In ca-ses where the agreement is to take total responsibility over the server en-vironment this will of course also be monitored from NOC.

Clients of the data center have the possibility to contact Advania’s NOC around the clock, all year round.

Thanks to Iceland’s natural elements in

combina-tion with a specific data center design, Advania’s

data center is one of the most energy efficient data

centers in the world. Using the so-called

”free-coo-ling” in Iceland, the power utilization is very

effi-cient.

Services

Prepare to be amazed at what is possible with our ”Best Value” Cloud Hosting. Our Cloud Services are not only 100% Green / Zero Carbon, they are also at a significantly lower cost than the big, well known cloud hosting providers.

Cloud Services

Free space from your own computer room and avoid new investments of facilities by moving one or more of your servers to our data center. Take advantage of several options such as individual servers, complete rack or other solutions to meet your business needs, always with 100% green energy supply.

Green Colocation

Everyone knows that data grows. It usually happens at a greater rate than we expect. Keeping up with the demand of greater storage is a constant challenge for every system administrator. Not only is it necessary to invest in ever bigger frameworks to run the latest hardware, but the correct data must also be safely backed up and stored out of harm’s way.

Data Archiving

Dedicated Servers

Via our data center, we can offer clients an afforda-ble way to lease their own dedicated servers and to-gether with that also provide operational services of these. As part of the commitment is also our Service Desk for technical support around the clock, all year round.

Advania’s data center is able to deliver a range of

reli-able, scalable and secure cloud solutions to meet our

customers’ needs. Below, some of them are described.

Do you know that Iceland is ranked as the world’s 7th best data center location?

Iceland is especially suitable for the placement of data centers for nume-rous reasons. One reason is that not a single second of downtime at Adva-nia’s data center is caused by natural disasters. And that is pure fact.

A typical data center will use about as much energy for cooling as it takes to keep the servers and other equipment running. With a data center in Iceland, the customer takes advantage of so-called free natural cooling - this by using outdoor temperatures that never gets really hot or really cold. This is a key factor for achieving low average value of PUE.

Today we have 80 customers from around the world

in our data center. Many of those come from the

Nordic countries and store their most critical

busi-ness data in our data center.
