The sensational prediction was allegedly made by Cardinal Paolo Romeo, the archbishop of Palermo in Sicily, on a recent visit to China. Cardinal Romeo reportedly made the startling prediction of the Pope's death during a trip to China in November 2011. He seemed so sure of the fact that the people he spoke with, including Italian businessmen and Chinese representatives of the Catholic Church, were convinced that he was talking about an assassination attempt. They were so alarmed by his remarks that they reported them back to the Vatican.

Archbishop of Palermo confirmed that he had a private visit to China, but denied information about his alleged statements made there. Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi, referring to information about the alleged plot, said: "It's nonsense, just nonsense, I have nothing more to add."

However, it is said that the extraordinary comments were written up in a top-secret report, dated Dec 30, 2011, and delivered to the Pope by a senior cardinal, Dario CastrillonHoyos, a Colombian, in January 2012. With this in mind I have analyzed the birth chart of the Pope to see whether there is any danger to his life.

Longevity Analysis

The Ascendant cusp sub lord is Ketu in 10. Ketu is in Sagittarius, hence represents Jupiter: 1(10,11). Ketu is in own star of Ketu and in sub of Jupiter: 1(10,11). Ketu’s significations are very strong for a long life with from 66 to 100 years.

The above indication is in line with his age of already 84. Consequently a view of not taking the opposite 7th_{aspect of}

Mars:4(2,9 Badhaka) on Ketu, no planet in the stars of Mars which is the cuspal sub lord of 9, appears working in this case. Because Mars is to be taken for Rahu by conjunction.

Dasa Analysis

Taking Lagna Alone

The evolving research findings of Guru ji KSK were written and compiled in the original Krishnamurti Padhdhati, two volumes of 1966 by Sagar Publications and later extended, updated and regrouped in the six KP Readers of 1970-71. What is Determination of Lagna First?

2. Determination of Lagna first is meant for consideration of Lagna first for any matter related not only to first bhava ut also other bhavas, and then also simultaneously determination of the cuspal sub lord (CSL) of the relevant bhava. Such practice is done in the cuspal interlinks methods by classification of Lagna based or non Lagna based matters or in general. For example, for promise of marriage the signification of houses 5,7 or 11 by the Lagna CSL or CSSL is determined first and then also the similar signification by the 7th_{CSL or CSSL is simultaneously considered.}

3. In KP, the Lagna CSL is determined for 1st_{bhava matters only. For other bhavas’ matters, only the relevant CSL is}

determined straight, without simultaneously considering the Lagna CSL first. For example, for promise of marriage, only the 7th_{CSL signification of house 2,7 or 11 is considered straight and the Lagna CSL has nothing to do with}

promise of marriage in the whole KP Reader IV of ‘Marriage, Married Life & Children’. In other words, KP does not determine Lagna first and simultaneously the relevant CSL for promise of other bhavas’ matters but the cuspal interlinks methods are practicing such kind of the simultaneous consideration of the Lagna first and also the CSL of the relevant bhava. 4. The cuspal sub lord of a house indicates whether the matter of the house is promised or not. The significators point the time of event. Both dasa, bhukti and gochara (transit) must agree. Three Ways of Mentioning of Lagna in the Astrological Analysis

general characteristics, health, longevity, status etc.

• At the beginning of the Guru ji KSK’s old article: “The Greatest Sage in Our Age” (Astrology & Athrishta March 1965 issue/ Notable Persons & K.P.”, edt. K. Hariharan, pages 1-7), Lagna is determined for physical features and general characteristics of the Lagna bhava matters. After that for speech, food 2nd house, mother 4th

house, father 9th_{house etc are determined, i.e. Lagna is determined for Lagan bhava matters only and non}

Lagna bhava matters are determined by other relevant bhavas. So it is not determination of Lagna first for other bhavas’ matters.

• Considering Lagna bhava matter of marks, scars or mole on the body from Lagna but it is not determination of Lagna first for other bhavas’ matters. (KP Reader III page 159 (1971 Edition, Practical Part, page 7)

• The same is no determination of Lagna first for the other bhavas’ matters in the house grouping and solved examples of the best narrative KP books of the Sri C. R. Bhatt's Nakshatra Chintamani and Further Lights on Nakshatra Chintamani generally in line with the KP six Readers..

• Any reputable KP astrologer has not yet determined the Lagna first for other bhavas’s matters. Even late Sri M.P. Shanmugam who has introduced the strength of Lagna for consideration of the high status only (in his Astro Secrets & Krishnamurti Padhdhati, Part 1, pages 95-101), has not applied determination of Lagna first, as evidenced by his house grouping according to the each bhava CSL only (ibid pages 118, 131, 135, 142-143, 152, 157, 179-180, 182-183, 188, 192-193, 204-205, 208-209) and his solved example charts of marriage and childbirth (ibid pages 266, 279, 283, 287, 293, 299), without simultaneously considering the Lagna CSL first for other bhavas’ matters.

Oh Lord Shani! Let me allow to recite this stotram as written in "Brahmanda Purana" and write an essay on you for the benefits of the living human who tremble when hearing of you.

In Sanskrit Saturn is called Shani or Shanaischara by the meaning of slow mover. Being the sixth planet from the Sun and the second largest planet in the solar system, it takes 30 years to complete one circle of the Zodiac and two and half years for a Zodiac sign. In the Zodiac, Saturn rules two adjoining signs, Capricorn (Makara) and Aquarius (Kumbha), and is the owner of stars (nakshastra) Pushya, Anuradha and Uttara Bhadra. Saturn is exalted (Uchcha) in Libra, debilitated in Aries (Mesha) and Leo (Simha) being the worst (Moodha) amongst its enemy houses. In KP, when Saturn is connected with the Moon, Saturn denotes four "D"s, ie; Delay, Deny, Dejection and Disappointment in any life matter. Generally Saturn is known as the most dreadful and most malefic planet in the zodiac, which has the keys to heaven and hell in his hand.

Most of Astrologers used to warn and advise remedies to their clients on the movements of Saturn using many adjectives like Shani Eraastaka, Sade Sati, Shani Sapthama and many more. When Saturn moves to 8th from the Moon in the natal chart it is called Astama Shani and a bad period is at hand. When it moves 12th, Lagna and 2nd houses from Moon, the native would have to suffer for a period of seven and a half years, known as "Sade Sati" When Saturn travels in the 12th_{house, the first part of Sade Sati, the native would have loss of prestige and honor,}

aimless travels, lack of comfort in living, arguments, and poverty, rise in expenses and losses etc. When it is in the first house, threat of assassination, status and prestige could get affected, mental afflictions, and sorrows, health could suffer. If it is in the 2nd house the native’s mind becomes unsound, innumerable worry accumulates, there is a general failure to achieve good results, the native experiences ill health, and misunderstandings arise. There is also a considerable amount of financial stress.

If it is true, 25% of the population of the world is always under these bad effects of Saturn, and after that next 25% is to be a victim of Saturn and there is no end at all in this process. If Saturn is doing such a horrible duty, there won't be a single living being in peace and prosperity in this universe!

In the planetary cabinet Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter are generally branded as most benefic by nature and Mars, Saturn, Rahu & Kethu are branded as malefics, Saturn the worst by ancient sayings. Now it is the time to see how far these doctrines are justifiable. From the history we can see that there were many rulers like Kings, Presidents, Prime Ministers and many successful people in various ranks of the society who had come to their glorious periods of life under the shelter of so called the most malefic Saturn. Something may be wrong with branding the planet Saturn because Smt. Indira Gandhi, Amitah Bachchan, Bill Clinton, Napoleon Bonaparte, Helmut Kohl, Francois Mitterrand and many more reached their peak in the Saturn Dasa and Bhukti or in the Sade Sati in progress.

Saturn in the 10th_{house is also said for speedy rise to a high level and prestige and then sudden fall from power, with}

Napoleon and Hitler often being cited as examples. Oscar Wilde is supposed to fall from height with Saturn in his 10th

house. However this Rise and Fall Rule of Saturn in the 10th_{house is found not valid for Bill Clinton and Francois}

Mitterrand with Saturn in 10th_{house of Cancer, Helmut Kohl with Saturn in 10}th_{house of Sagittarius and many others.}

Is Saturn always malefic?

March 2012 KP-Ezine 13 Here Venus had played a good role with its signification for 11 and being in the sub of Jupiter (10 (name and fame), 6, 9) with no planet in its stars. Saturn in the chart is not a beneficial significator for longevity at all with its power for 4 (end of life), 12 (Moksha), 7 (Maraka), but it gave her the chance in its main period to acquire a formidable reputation as a political leader. It clearly shows that the Saturn dasa period and sub periods had given her success and glory.

Smt. Indira Gandhi lost her mother on 28.02.1936 in her first Sade Sati (24.12.1928 to 24.02.1937) when Saturn was transiting in Aquarius, 2nd house from her Capricorn natal Moon. She also lost her husband on 8.09.1960 and her father on 27.05.1964 in her second Sade Sati (7.02.1958 to 7.04.1966) while transit Saturn was in Sagittarius, 12th house from her Capricorn Moon and in Aquarius, 2nd house from her Capricorn Moon respectively. In the same his second Sade Sati, she was appointed as a Minister in the Cabinet of Lal Bahadur Sastri on 27.05.1964 and then sworn in as Prime Minister on 24.01.1966 while transit Saturn was still passing Aquarius, 2nd house from her Capricorn Moon. It shows that the Sade Sati did not hinder success in her political carrier.

On 31.10.1984, in the death inflicting DBAS of Sa (4,12,3,7,8,2) - Ra (11Bdk,5,4,12,7,8) - Ra - Ve(5,4,11,7), who operated at the eleventh hour of "The longest served female Prime Minister in the world" and " Iron Lady" Smt. Indira Gandhi, permitted to executioner to finish the life of Universal lady of courage who represented the social justice of India.
