Preservative Treatment Selector
Selecting a timber preservative treatment is an important decision in ensuring a reliable and appropriate preservative treated timber is supplied for a particular project. The choice is dependent on various factors such as the eventual end use location of the treated timber, the final appearance of the treated timber, the availability of ready treated stocks of timber or the dimensional aspects of the timber components which may be affected by a treatment.
Specific details on the choice of treatments by Use Class (EN 335) are available in a separate document.
Following is a summary of the main high and low pressure preservative treatments that best fits your needs with a particular timber component in mind.
